    This guy gets it.

Man rid 15 was especially frustrating. Here we had so many creative new decepticon designs to use for toys and who does hasbro stuff in? Starscream. Soundwave. Bludgeon
    Menasor.
Where the fuck are my toys for Underbite? Saberhorn? Vertebreak? Zissa?
    (Twinferno was pretty badass though)

I see it. I guess I was thinking with the comparison shot it was a comic only redeco of Springer.

There were 3 toys for Underbite. :)  Take my advice when I tell you the McDs one is the best of the trio.

We did get figs of Thunderhoof, Steeljaw, Bisque, Clampdown, that Shakespearian Con, Quillfire, Springload, and that one con with the crosshairs over his eye. Not to mention that stick-up-the-ass cop Strong Arm.

I feel ya. I really wanted toys of General Glowstrike, Filch, Tricerashot, Polar Claw, Terrastrike, the bat, Vertabreak and Zizza. I was terribly disappointed not to get them.

That was my biggest disappointment of RID15... we didn’t get GOOD toys of most of the new characters. I do love Bisque and Thunderhoof, but I’d LOVE for them to make Generations versions of these (and the others) characters someday...

To be fair RID15’s warrior class figures still look well made compared to.. whatever Cyberverse’s been offering so far tbh.

If ONLY all of the characters from RID15 got Warrior figures. Some were only available as 1-steps or legion. But at least the new Cyberverse figures coming up look to have much better articulation than the first year...

i'd like some obscure to the US Japanese characters (like how we got Overlord), but i'd also love some new characters who are totally new. Thats one o the reasons I really want Studio Series Shatter. Also, in my head cannon, most of Studio Series are "new" characters.

Hasbro should revisit RID15 & Cyberverse characters in a SS-style tribute toyline to every non-G1 and Movie series character.

As Hasbro nowadays doesn’t seem to care about anything that isn’t G1 or up until TLK tanked, Bayverse, beyond the occasional CHUG homage like Armada Megatron and Cybertron Prime, it would be a pleasant surprise for all the now grown up kids who grew up with shows like RID01, Animated, Prime, and UT.

I am totally a G1 kid and have been annoying I'm sure proclaiming my admiration for Siege, but yeah I am hungry too for new stuff. I want this new aesthetic to grow into something beyond what we have known so long. Whether they take Furman's G2 story with Jhiaxus and build on it or add something else entirely I think it would be good for the brand.

Yeah there are nitpicks, aren't there always(???), but for my tastes and money I don't see there being versions of Prime, Ironhide, Omega Supreme now for God's sakes etc. that are gonna be much better than this. Now that's just me, but if they start over again in 2-3 or 4 years I think it might be tough for me to be fired up. The line is looking beautiful now and is hot. So it's a good time to strike with some thoughtful new characters to possibly pass the torch to one day. Or at least give us more options.

It would be fun to discuss what alt modes and such would be new and interesting

Hasbro would have plenty of room for new characters if they didn't do Bumblebee and Prime three times in each size class every year. Also, the concept of multiple concurrent lines is squandered by having the same small batch of characters shared between them. I don't want them to go back to lousy dubbed shonen animes but there's a middle ground between there and here.

Major unpopular opinion here, but I would be fine if, in 2021, both Studio Series and Generations were retired. Don't get me wrong, they are both top tier storylines, and some of my all-time favorite figures are coming out in those lines, but I feel like the cost is that the toys for the current movie/cartoon toyline have to suck and be compromised by intrusive gimmicks and weak plastic. The RID Warriors were alright, but almost every Cyberverse toy suffers these problems. Generations feels like it's almost out of G1 characters to update and could probably finish them off by the end of the War for Cybertron Trilogy, while Studio Series could probably easily finish off all the major characters from the Bay films and then focus on figures from the current movie in the next two or three years.

The arguments over which character should be updated next and what the focus of the Generations line should be only makes it worse.

If it gets us Transformers that turn into a hearse, submarine, bus, combine harvester, or amoebas, sure.

Not so much a new and original direction for Transformers but I would like to see Hasbro insert some new and original characters into their Classics line just to give us some variety instead of the same core characters over and over again. Windblade is the step in the right direction. Heck, there were plenty of original characters in the recent IDW series that I'd love to see get some official Generations love *cough*Rung*cough*Tarn*cough*.

the "3 Pillars" approach Hasbro has been using in years past worked just fine for me.
Generations to update old characters, mostly G1 but with the occasional homage to other eras.
The Movies because they make the most money
Cartoon tie in where the innovation and creativity gets to happen.

Cyberverse doesnt seem to be doing any innovation though.
im fine with Studio series staying where it is. there is after all, an end goal in mind. only so many characters to do from the Bayverse/Knightverse after all.

Because the last time they did something new we got a bunch of babies bitching for a decade until they made them look more G1.
