    Rest in peace Mr Ditillio, and thanks for being the writer and editor on one of, if not, the best Transformers shows in history, and making a historical impact for the franchise.

    Terrible news. :(  At the very least, he doesn't have to suffer fighting that illness anymore. Rest well. :rip

    I hate to hear this sad news. I always admired his work on Beast Wars and Masters of the Universe. My condolences to his friends and family.

    I clicked onto the homepage and just saw "Larry DiTillo p..." and I knew what was coming. My heart sank. Beast Wars is far and away my favorite part of the franchise and it means a lot to me.

    I usually don't like using Transformers quotes for this sort of thing but it feels appropriate here.

    There have been a few truly defining moments throughout the 35 year history of Transformers that have shaped and revolutionised the franchise going forward. Without doubt, one of those moments was The Spark. Freedom is the right of all sentient beings. And in this story, we learnt, for the first time, what truly made them sentient.

    This is shattering news. A sadness will be felt across a number of different fandoms, such was his influence and a credit to his hard-working nature and talent.

    For the stories and inspiration you've given us, thank you, Mr. DiTillio.
