I couldn't find a post on this in the search function, but it seems there are Transformers: Prime KOs/3rd party figures being made. Can anyone shine a light on this? Real or fake news?

Breakdown please.  

Already have 1st edition Optimus... I wonder how much of a demand there is for him. But in any case, I’m glad someone is taking the plunge with Tf: Prime.

I missed out on the Prime figures, I'm excited for this.

 

Looks very promising.   Bonus points if they also give us Breakdown and upscaled Voyager sized Hardshell figures too.

 

I need them to at least do all the First Editions with some improvenents like ankle tilts. Then at least all the S1 Decepticons and the hard to get stuff.

 

Hm could be interesting. It's at least the right choice that they're going for the FE version where available.

But I think I would be more interested in some slight upsizing. Just to get the general scale across better. Prime had some clear big beefy characters and some small, thin ones. I think oversizing it by about 50 % would enable them to improve on the smaller characters or the fragile figures (Starscream, Soundwave) as well.

 

Is there an TFP Ultra Magnus that reuses the First Edition Optimus tooling?

If it is original size, then I think this line is probably aiming to do the rare items and won't reproduce the more common stuff out in the market.

 

Kinda bummed if this does turn out to be original size, as this toy is almost good enough to be scaled up to MP size, however I won't complain if it gets a more accurate paint job and gives me a chance to experience this mold for a reasonable price!

Nope, just the commander, weaponizer and RID voyager retools (maybe one or two others that I missed, but the FE was never retooled).

 

Great mold, I'm happy to see it finally getting some more use. The aftermarket prices on TFP Primes are a little ridiculous.

I am happy to start a new line with upgraded moulds of all the First Editions. They are probably fully painted and Bulkhead is in the coming soon teaser.

We also need the usual repaints of Prime.

 

Hmm, interesting. Now if they could do a slightly oversized ko of voyager Megs, but modify it to include the bicep rotation parts from Shapeways, an optional Prime forearm, KO of Dr wu's dark star saber, ko of the pharaonic upgrade kit and give it a good paint job, that I'd buy on the spot.

Nice. I still have my fe Prime so I don't think I need this unless it's improved somehow. Nice to hear they're gonna do Bulkhead, though. I missed out on him and haven't wanted to pay aftermarket prices.

 

I got the second Voyager Prime, and I missed the FE version that people seemed to like better. I might be interested in this, especially if it's upscaled to around MP-10 size.

 

For those wondering, the chinese comments on Weibo mention that it is the SAME size as the original (NOT upsized). Still great news imo

I already have the Takara first edition so really I'd only want this for the blasters and swords which look like they are based off the Dr Wu sets. Those things are impossible to find now.

Curious to see how they paint this figure.
