i agree that people over exaggerate though i feels it more about people feeling insulted by hasbro, lets say its like a restaurant and you ask for no onions in your burger, you enjoy it and comeback again another day and they give you a burger completely made of onions, you cant expect people to get up and just leave, whether its peaceful or aggressive people are going to say something. what if the first burger was the best burger you ever tasted in your life, most people dont want to accept that the best thing they ever experience will never happen again

I'm just gonna say this: Let the audience speak if Paramount decides to make a sequel to TLK.

Well, if it’s just to close off the bay verse... yay I guess? Though I never gave The Last Knight the time of day.

A Bumblebee & Optimus Prime movie, I’d watch that in a heartbeat!

tlk's ending is weird because it feels conflicting, the ending narration feels like micheal bays goodbye to the franchise and tries to be conclusive ending but then quintessa shows up to tease more movies which i feel bay had no intention of uncluding

    Exactly.
He also said we'd see more Dinobots.

I'm afraid that most of the people here, as well as the movie-going public, do not want a continuation of TLK. TLK was an exhausting film to sit through; it was the first film I ever saw where I was checking my watch to see how long it had left to go.

With Bumblebee, we had a writer and a director who genuinely cared about the material; we had a good script and a good style. We had Hasbro in the drivers' seat for the first time. And we had a film that ended with the promise of a new continuity that would continue these higher standards.

However, Paramount really don't want to say, "The Bayverse crashed and burned because, for the past decade, we've mismanaged it" and learn their lessons. Nope, they're going to try and placate us with things that we don't want, rather than saying "Alright, let's start again."

Making a direct sequel to TLK has the potential for all sorts of things to go wrong; firstly, Bay and Whalberg both very explicitly said, "After TLK, we're out." So you'll have to find another director and another lead actor; at this point, why not just reboot?

The reception of Bumblebee proved that rebooting was the clear way to go after TLK failed; sometimes, some things are beyond fixing. No course-correction could fix what had happened with TLK.

And, before someone brings up the DCEU, none of the DCEU movies were objectively bad. Man of Steel is a bit underwhelming. Batman vs. Superman has great action to make up for a thin plot. Suicide Squad is actually pretty funny. Wonder Woman is really good. Justice League is a very enjoyable film. So, on the whole, the DCEU had more hits than misses.

Whereas, with the Bayverse, one film was great (TF2007), two films were alright (DOTM and AOE) and two films were bad (ROTF and TLK). That's three hits and two misses. That's not good.

    I said if.

I really don't want another bayverse, but without bay it won't be as bad. Hopefully.

Im guessing it will be another soft reboot ala age of extinction. Set a few years after The Last Knight with a new cast but still pick up the unicron thread.

There's a lot of Earths in the DC universe, no offence.

Every film is subjective. I mean don't you have movies that you actually thought were 'okay'?

It doesn't bother me that any of those movies were made. I wasn't bothered that Bumblebee was made even though I would have preferred continuing the storyline after Last Knight.
    Awwwe :(

Maybe people have grown accustomed to living with Cybertron attached. But then one day Unicron wakes up
