I went back in 2013, and the scene back then was nuts! I can only imagine what it is like now. Tokyo rocks man!
I\'d love to see those prototypes in person some day. That\'d be amazing to see same with a G1 Unicron
Great exhibit. I love that Ginrai evolution artwork. And it’s nice to see MP-44 and MP-45 next to each other.
A friend went to this and has a writeup on his blog: Tets' Toys and Shenanigans: Tets goes to "The World of Transformers" Seems like it was really good!
This feels like confirmation that the Takara Unicron prototype is no longer in their possession. Wouldn\'t they have displayed it by now, especially for something like this? I would have loved to have seen it from more angles. For that matter, wasn\'t there at least two?
does any one suppose we will get anymore info about Star Convoy and Armada Prime at this fair? they had a 35th anniversary logo on their cards.
Wow, there's a fair bit of 80s art I' ve never seen in those links. Great to see, but I wish we had better images of them!
It'll be available in a couple weeks. The official release date is in April, those lucky enough to go to the actual show can get a copy early. All the art shown (I've seen so far) has been printed in varous books and magazines. Much of it scanned from print and posted online already.
I was hoping that the 35th anniversary would have something commemorating something other than G1 and the movies, I'm annoyed, but not really surprised. Still Armada Prime's coming for it.
Oh cool - it was the masterforce stuff that was new to me - any idea of the books they're in by any chance? (will be tres embarrassed now if it turns out they're ones I have already...) In any case, I did some quick and dirty tidying/flattening on a few (from autobase and tet's toys), in case anyone else wants em. If anyone has a better copy of that solo ginrai, I'd love to see it.
