If you have that kind of money ,might as well buy the original Gridman toys.

So sorry this is over. I just finally got to watch the last episode after all the holiday running around. It really wrapped up nicely, but I do hope they get to continue it into another season. It seems like this studio is clever enough not to retread old ground, I trust they'd switch it up and keep us guessing.

Wow! That was a great little side-by-side.

Yuck, @oku, that dude is a monster! I really loved that first reviewer tho! :)  Thanks for sharing both...

Probably not for long now tho-- ;)

I just signed up--hopefully I'm not getting in over my head! At 34, I'm a fossil about figuring out new social media. ;P

I own the original Superhuman Samurai Syber Squad versions, but they are understandably VERY beat up from childhood play, missing very visable parts. It is my eternal dream that we'll get some sort of rerelease of those toys so I can get decent copies....probably a pipe dream, but a man can hope, right?
It's a pleasure to meet another fossil! I'm 35, and still stuck on the habits I learned AGES ago. >< I feel your pain! What happened to using "rotf", or sweat drop faces ^_^; ? What happened to using asterisks for verbs like *chuckles* and *sighs*? These kids and their "memes", fancy emojis using symbols that aren't on my keyboard, throwing in random strings of syllables, and weird phrases like "this person is such a mood"...what does "mood" even mean in this context?! You crazy kids! GET OFF MY LAWN!!!

I exaggerate, but it really does feel like that a lot of the time. Still using Urban Dictionary a LOT to try and get up to date. The folks on Discord (which I can use to the point of "type here for your message to appear, click on the left to change threads") are usually pretty nice if you somehow find the right one, and have been good at walking me through things so far. A few forum users here and in other places have also walked me through a few of the more confusing bits of posting, like the multiquote thing we're using now.

Looks like we missed a few!

Also... is it me or does Akane Shinjou really resemble Marvel Galvatron II as well? Not just in the purple sleeves, but the whole x-treem self-loathing aspect to their characters and having Meg be a part of their subconscious.

SAGISU’s OST for GRIDMAN is beautiful. What’s really interesting is that SAGISU also composed an unused soundtrack for the original G1 Japanese dub, and arranged the theme songs.

It’s really interesting to see how much his style has changed since 1985. Now, he does English opera and R&B, compared to his past era of citypop. It’s also nice to hear some similar arrangements to his work in the Berserk trilogy several years back, with some of the final tracks in the same style as the cues in the terrifying Eclipse. SAGISU does not get hardly enough attention, and I really hope he returns to do a used score for a Transformers anime in the future. There is no one more suitable for this franchise than him.
The soundtrack also came out in a coincidental time when the current Generations line features weaponizers, similar to the assist team in GRIDMAN.

Saw it on fb , the making of the music video for Union . It’s noted as being chronologically immediately after ssss ended. Not gonna spoil it for those who’ve not watched it , but thought it’s worth sharing here .

I'm so glad obnoxious and creepy fanservice like this wasn't in the show (I’m aware of the swimsuits, but that was tame for the industries standards).

But man, they sure like selling these female characters in the weirdest sexualized ways possible, don’t they?

Hey guys, just a reminder to keep things on topic. This thread isn't a full-on discussion for the show. Dunno if there's already one in the Non-TF subforum, but best to keep non-TF related talk about the show in the show's thread. Thanks.

Just bought Classics Cliffjumper to fill in for Yuta.

So hyped for this. Hoping it's as good (and that Bandai will jump on the show better this time and make some SHFs of Gridman's different forms of SoCs of the mechs)

    SSSS.Gridman - Action Figure - Archonia.com

There are a few figures, but nothing from bandai and none of the upgrade mechs.
