I know, I downgraded my opinion from "could be actually good" to "could be decent." With that said, I wouldn't mind a "Red vs Blue" like show about a group of Decepticons stationed around the galaxy and just trying to stay out of the war and out of harm's way while being super snarky and getting into hijinks.... In other words, they should just do a show on the "Scavengers!" from MTMTE (but set during their civil war)! :)

    Why live action?
Why not animated....like the series, but updated?

The movie costing that much to me just sounds like it should be scrapped & replanned from the beginning. Which also gives us an opportunity for something closer to source material, hopefully.

How could redoing quality VFX in a semi prehistoric Earth with no humans and only using voice actors cost half a billion. Doesn't add up I think he's just trying to get media spun around him

I think it's a super convient way to say "we have no interest in that" without actually saying that and getting no blow back from fans. There is zero reason why a Beast Wars movie would be live action.

If Hasbro gets people involved who dont care about Beast Wars or Transformers at all why bother. Lorenzo needs to realize Optimus was not main stream before the 07 movie. Hasbro needs to stop pretending all the movies after 07 were great too, it was luck they were still making money.

We have always had an Optimus, or at least an Optimus-like character in every Transformers franchise. Optimus has always been "mainstream", but the movie really pushed him out there.
It wasn't just luck. Gimmickry, reboots, and reissues of older figures also helped significantly. Not to mention, importing Car Robots, Micron Legend, Super Link, and Galaxy Force helped too, despite the flaws of the last three.

They should work BW into the new Netflix series. Maybe a cliffhanger at the end of season 1 could have a maximal like Cheetor traveling through time and then dedicate the first 3 episodes of season 2 to have him recount the events that led him up to that point followed by another 2 or 3 episodes to get him back to his own timeline. We could get a pretty good 3~6 episode modern day BW saga/origin without taking away too much from whatever the main Transformers series plot is. If the response is strong with the 3 episode time travel BW episodes, spin it off into it's own series.

Yeah that sounds like a good option.
I still can’t entirely trust Paramount even after Bumblebee.

Sounds like talking about it before was more a ploy to make people spend money in the hopes that would translate in this movie being made XD

Aw man, a Beast Wars movie would be great! No humans! .. and it's my favorite TF fiction of all time! Also, I agree with the guy who said Lorenzo should STFU.

Probably Lorenzo trying to convince fans he cares by throwing out such a high number but using it as a means of really saying "it'll never happen". So pessimism disguised as positivity.

More people know Beast Wars than a trex who only showed up for 3 seconds in a movie where he was described like a dog which is odd given that a trex king dinobot that talks in 3rd person isn't at all like a dog

Because Lorenzo di Bonaventura has no clue what he’s talking about. Never has, never will when it comes to anything Transformers.

Bring it back as a high-quality animated film. Spiderverse and others have proven animated films can generate big bucks when done right.

You know, we're probably better off without a live-action Beast Wars film. I don't think Hollywood could do the original animated series the justice that it so rightfully deserves.

Bumblebee did okay with about 1/4 the cost, why do they need that much money?  Are they gonna use live animals to do it?  Real live Furries?  Bronies?  LOL

Talking about the setting for a bit does it need to be exactly like the original show? I mean the Bumblebee film despite largely G1 based didn't really have the setting be like the Sunbow show like it had no Ark crashing down, and it had Bee,Blitzwing,Shatter nd dropkick were the only Cybertronians to be on Earth for a while. So why should Beast Wars be any different? If it needs to take some liberties in some areas like have it take place in a Modern day jungle instead of the past or even have it homages stories such as King Kong,Lost World and the Mysterious Island where some human characters get stuck on an uncharted island where the BW characters roam around while still retaining the basic core elements of BW in terms of story, character and design in order for the budget thing to work better along with easing audiences into how the BW characters look and function then why not do so? You'll never knew unless you try.

I dunno I'm just one of the few people who's actually wanting to see a BW movie happen in the future especially with Hasbro wanting to go for a reboot phase. If they also wanted to establish the new universe they're likely setting up with that started with Travis Knight first before heading over to a BW then sure I get that but still it'd be nice to finally see BW get mainstream this way.
