    Yeah, bring on the 'Cons!

Hopefully we get a new Soundwave this year to bolster their ranks (I'm still betting on +). Or at least a new Starscream next year. Or maybe an entirely new trio.

Yes! Makes me so sad that my collection included all the S1 cons except TC and SW (and Reflector of course). Now it's just Megatron and the Coneheads :cry  I still technically have Soundwave, I should probably try to sell him during this sale :lol  but I just can't bring myself to do it until there's some kind of announcement or hint or something of a new version...

It's a0922802596. They have 29+ for $193, which goes down to about $165 after the sale.

I'm the same, kept Soundwave even though he's not entirely as I want him. Just couldn't not have him in my collection. MP-11 had to go though, I knew it was only a matter of time (back in 2016 when I sold him :lol ...).

Knowing you did not regret getting rid of MP-11 helped me to go through with it (that and someone being willing to exchange me money for him :lol  )

See, I can’t just get rid of MP-11, because it means I have to get rid of TC and SW as well, and those two still look quite cool on the shelves. Heheh.

I’ve got someone who wants to buy all three off me, but that window could close if I leave it too long...

Help me out here guys! Sell or no? :lol

Oh goodness that's a tough one...I don't know if I could sell either if I had all three, as the other two are still georgeous even if the mold is outdated. Since I'm so sure of a new Seeker mold, I'd probably still do it...but will the buyer only take all three or nothing? I might hold on to SW and TC as I imagine there will be plenty of people who will hate the new cartoon accurate mold and will still be willing to pay for those two (assuming Takara does the repaints at all).

I would definitely sell, unless you're ok with owning two versions of the same character. It was a little painful selling MP-11T with that gorgeous shade of blue, but I knew it was the first decision for me.

    Yeah, it’s a bit of a gamble!!!

I’m pretty sure the guy will take all three...hmmmm

Yeah, it is a very nice piece. :(

Unfortunately I’m not OK with owning two versions haha, you read my mind!

I'm hanging on to my jets until a new Starscream is in my hands, which is going to be a ways off even if he's announced tomorrow. I just don't want to be without those characters on my shelf! Not much fun to handle compared to a newer figure like Megatron, but they still look great on the shelf. Whenever that new Starscream does arrive, though, I'll probably sell all three as it wouldn't look right to my eye to have a new Starscream mold next to MP-11 Skywarp and Thundercracker. They gotta be identical molds!

Bringing it back on topic, though, I'm glad I hung onto the og MP-29, although I think 29+ is far superior ;)

Nothing is guaranteed. If you're OK with having to buy back MP-11 at possibly an even higher price, sell him. If not, don't sell. It's that simple.

No MP-11 replacement is imminent. It's possible, sure. But as we have seen on multiple occasions, TF lines can end abruptly and without warning. At the release rate this line moves, you are definitely rolling the dice making assumptions about the future.

Soundwave is even riskier to ditch than Starscream in my opinion. If we see him, I believe it will be MP-13+. Functionally there is nothing wrong with him other than an ab crunch.

Yeah, no chance of me letting go of MP-29 either. I appreciate both in their own ways, where it’s been easier to let go of others when a + release or complete replacement is revealed.

It's why I sold MP-10, and my original MP-20 and custom MP-18+. Of course, I can totally understand guys like DML too:

I do enjoy having the 'break' from a character when I know that a superior (to me) version has to be coming. It was sweet getting Wheeljack back, it's gonna be unreal getting Bluestreak back, and it's gonna blow my mind getting the Optimus of my childhood dreams at last.

It's gonna be the same for Starscream, I just know it. Ultimately the MP-11 mould wasn't even in my top 10 MPs, so it just didn't make sense for me to own three versions that I didn't want. I do miss having a Starscream in the crew, that's for sure.

Since Shockwave's in my top 5 figures ever, even though I intend on buying back MP-29+ I'll still keep the original. Don't mind owning two of that awesome mould.

The same is true with MP-21 - I'm keeping him even with three MP-45s pre-ordered. He's always been a top five MP for me (we'll see how completely MP-45 replaces him come September, though ;) )

I don't think a line that's been going for 16 years is gonna end up that suddenly, at least not without releasing heavy hitters like Starscream and Galvatron (if the MP line dies after Starscream, I'll buy two more copies and paint them up as TC and SW myself).

I think it's more than just possible, though. It's extremely likely.

I agree about Soundwave (though I don't agree ab crunch is all that he's missing).

I went with animetropolis since they had it for 189.98 which came up to about $161. Hopefully, he comes through on my order since I've been without a MP Shockwave since I sold my original. Never order from this seller before but 70K + feedback so that seems like a safe risk

You've really got me dying for a new Starscream now! Doesn't help that I've recently rewatched The Revenge of Bruticus, The Search for Alpha Trion, and Countdown to Extinction - Shockwave+ needs his rival! I'm always messing with my Shockwave+ now, but I've barely touched Starscream and his bros in two months. Figures as top notch as Megatron and Shockwave only make it painful having such an outdated MP Starscream.

That's it though, right? They look amazing on the shelf, for sure, but they aren't fun enough to mess around with. It's true for Thrust too - he looks boss, but more for putting in a pose flanking the more dynamic and awesome-to-pose Shockwave and Megatron. His bigger head and toon accurate details and deco help him blend in better though.

I'm ok with that being the case with the Coneheads, and even TC and SW to an extent, but I needs me a Starscream who can really emote with his body language!
