Nightwing looked down, and leapt off the roof. He looked down at the water, seeing something beneath. "There's something down there" called out Nightwing. And with that, King Shark leapt out of the water and roared. He had hoped to wait things out, but it looks like he' have to fight now. He quickly smacks Nightwing to the side with one of his hands. He then looked up at April and snarled, leaping up at her. If Bucky followed far enough, the marks would lead to a torn off seal, and below, a waterway. "Looks like that's how he got in" said Steph. --- "And yet, you are" teases Duke, following Damian. --- Jason Blood looks with distaste at Psylocke. "It may have escaped your notice, but you said that in front of me" he said. "And for the love of Merlin, speak English. I don't want any of this 'Booster Gold' you seem to be selling!" --- "Hang on, you just crashed my stolen car!" berated Joker. "We just happen to be going there anyway, but you'd better compensate us." --- Gwen sighs. It wasn't really the same. "So... how do you successfully manage your life and Spider-Man's" she asks out of curiosity.
"Yeah? So?" Superboy quickly follows behind him while staring at wonder at the home. "My dad is SUPERMAN, and mom still make him clean." ----- Psylocke isn't even sure she should trust Booster, so she simply mutes rather then put on a show. She studies this Jason Blood and decides now might be a good time to delve a bit into his mind while they talk. She delves into the man's mind trying to watch some of his most recent memories.
Bucky looks around the waterway "If that is how he got in... why did he get in... this isnt just one of the main facilities." --- Damien glares "My pen area is my place of zen." --- Booster sighs "Jason Blood. I am not selling Booster Gold, though merchandise is coming soon," He side comments "I am looking for a team to help save the universe from a threat that could end everything." --- Zoom folds his arms "You almost crashed into me." --- Peter shakes his head "I am glad you think I have every successful... but unfortunately I dont have any clue how to be. Being Spider-Man keeps me from my loved ones and endangers many of them."
"He's just being a jerk" said Duke, slapping Damian on the back. "Take Superboy to your room, I'll see if I can find Cass." --- Many of the memories Psylocke would see would be of Blood reading books or doing his household chores. Blood gave an annoyed grunt. "Mr... Gold, would you tell your aide to ceases her peering into my mind?" Jason calmly asked. "I find it quite irritable. Then we may discuss your offer." --- "This place doesn't do many experiment here" said Steph, reading data that Tim had sent her. "The occasional marine life experiment, but mostly used for records." --- "You crashed into me!" yelled Joker. "I swerved for a gag, but you really can't take a joke!" Grodd sighs and contacts Zoom directly through his telepathy, sticking to a building. "Perhaps I could assist you" stated Grodd in Zoom's mind. "Provided I receive some degree compensation for my assistance." --- "Being Spider-Woman already has" sighed Gwen. "Now I'm further from them than ever." --- The Raft Toomes groans as he settles back into life of the raft. No suit, no gadgets, no team. Now all he could do was establish himself as the top dog in here, and hope someone was desperate enough for his services they'd need to bust him out. Getting a tray of food in the mess hall, and sat down with the so-called meal. Across the room, Mirror Master was brawling with Scimitar as other prisoners gathered and watched.
Superboy immediately breaks out in a big smile at Duke's words and turns it toward Damien. "Ah! Yeah! You could probably fit lots of toys in this place! You're room must look so cool!" ------ Psylocke immediately withdraws from peering into his mind and sizes him up. "I'm surprised you could sense me there, Mr. Blood. Most folks sense nothing." Perhaps this man was a telepath and not a demon... or Booster Gold considered telepaths to be demons? Hmmm.
"What if King Shark is more... territorial that we thought?" Bucky asks "Thinking sea life is his domain?" --- Your compensation will come with the head of a Flash, I only need his power to assist in my own. Zoom thought as he growls at Joker "My time is precious. Every second I waste with you is a day that I could be using on my own plan. So, will you agree to being.... assistance to my trap for the League." --- Peter places his hand on Gwen's shoulder "Hey, we will find a way back. I know way too many people who have been through time and space that it shouldn't be hard to find yours at some point." Damien rolls his eyes as they head for his room. Damien grabs a set of clothes and places it on his bed as he goes into the bathroom to change into his set. The clothes set for Superboy was a school uniform type. --- "So, may we enter," Booster smirks.
"Yeah, perfectly fine, thanks for asking," Abner replied as he touched down on the roof. "By the way, expect visitors soon." ____________________________________________________________ Mac Gargan sighed as he stepped into his desolate home. Mere weeks ago, this had been a place of joy and laughter. He was bringing his son up better than his old man had ever raised him, and the future had looked bright. Said future was gone now. Trying to push the melancholy thoughts from his head for the time being, Mac changed out of his now-tattered Spider-suit, took a quick shower, and changed into his civilian clothes. Taking out the business card Abner had given him, he began to walk down to the bus station to take him where he needed to be, what was left of his Spider-suit in his backpack. _____________________________________________________________ Thinking fast, Miles shot webbing at his legs in hopes of grounding him.
Blood gives Booster a cold hard stare. "Tea... or coffee?" he says, not flinching in the slightest. --- "I mean, from the files Bats got from the Flash, Superman and Aquaman suggested that only time he tried to get territorial was when he took over one of the districts of Atlantis" said Steph. "He basically swam around the streets and ate anyone who dared leave their home after a certain time. Then he ate the heads of major gangs in that district. Quite literally the heads of the actual mob bosses." Steph shudders at the thought. "But we've never had anything to go on as to an origin, just assumed he was bloodthirsty" Steph continued. King Shark smashed into the ground with an almighty sound as his leg were pinned to the ground by webbing. April's webs would pin him to the ground, but he ferociously attempted to pull and tear himself free, he sharp fangs beginning to chew through the webbing. --- "Will you smiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiile more?" grins Joker, getting close to Zoom. Joker pulls out a small knife and shows it to Zoom. "I could even give you a little hand." "I require more than just the head" Grodd's voice echoed in Zoom's mind. --- Gwen smiles. "Well, I guess while I'm here, I can give you a hand protecting the city, can't I?" she says. --- Shawn sighs. "Find more ex-supervillains that need help readjusting?" she says. --- "I was sent by those looking for justice" says the Green Arrow, attempting to swing his arms to escape Bruce's grip and grab onto Bruce himself. "Your technology has resulted in the deaths of thousands!"
Superboy looks around disappointed. "There's nothing to play with?" He watches as Damien leaves to the bathroom and sighs looking down at the uniform. "Odd..." He quickly changes and folds his own clothes in a pile. It makes him think of his mom. "I wonder if she's worried...." ----- "Tea!" smirks Psylocke as she drops her American accent for her native English one. Finally some kind of reaction from the man. "All proper introductions should be made with tea. Isn't that right, Mr. Gold?" She nudges him to agree.
Booster smiles "I agree, tea." --- Bucky looks around for any survivors while keeping on guard "Well, at least he has some loyalty." --- "Are you sure I am not smiling?" Zoom asks His speed force is mine, what else could you want? --- Peter nods "Plus helping with rent." He jokes as the doorbell rings. Peter goes to the door to find the pizza is delivered. "Thanks." He pays the man and places the pie on the table. --- Bruce goes to headbutt Green Arrow "And Stark has caused thousands more. My company works on assisting health more than anything." --- Damien exits in his sweater and jeans "If you are dressing up like Superman, she must know sometimes you won't return quickly."
"Continue with your natural accent, it is much more pleasant to hear" Blood said. Blood turns around and leads the group into his house. He gestures to several seats in the living room. "Please, take a seat" says Blood as he heads into the kitchen to make some tea. --- All Bucky would find would be bodies, some torn, some bitten, even some that were missing their heads. "Oh god" said Steph, looking at the carnage. King Shark wrenched himself out of the webbing and charge at April and Miles, swinging his fists at them. --- My own link to the Speed Force. I don't care whether we have to kill another speedster for it. I need it. "Oh, I can just tell" chuckles Joker, putting the knife close to Zoom's mask. --- "Uh, yeah, sure" she says. "You sure this doesn't violate any tenant agreements. I hear people can be stingy about subletting." --- Green Arrow stumbles back, blood leaking from his nose. "Believe me, he'll be somewhere down the line. But, the past has proven you to be guilty!" yells the Green Arrow. "And I will deal out the punishment." He pulls out an arrow and attempts to stab Bruce with it.
Psylocke steps in and sits down with her legs crossed at the ankles and her back straight. She looks at Booster Gold. "You never told me, he was a fellow British." She pauses in thought. "Though I can't place his accent outside of that. It sounds Scottish, but... different." She then smirks. "You also didn't tell me I would need to remember all those lessons in proper etiquette with a proper gentleman over tea. This should be interesting. Let's see if you don't embarrass yourself." ---- Superboy smiles at that. "Yeah! You're probably right! Oh!" Jon begins patting his folded jeans. He pulls out a pair of amazingly still intact fake glasses. "Check this out! Dad had them made from Kryptonian technology. They withstand just about any impact!" He puts the glasses on. "Ta dah! Disguise!"
Booster sits down and rolls his eyes at Psylocke "So, Mr. Blood. Do you know what troubles the universe at this moment?" --- Bucky shakes his head "Spoiler, think you can scan for anyone alive?" --- Zoom grabs the knife Yes, I do believe I can arrange for that. "Dont tempt me with your tools." --- Peter shakes his head "As long as we don't bring in Spiderham we will be fine. There is an animal rule." --- Bruce grabs a book and uses it to block the arrow "Who do you work for?"
Jason brings in the tea. "I do not expect to be tested on my lifestyle" he sighs. He then thinks as he hands Booster Gold a cup. "Has Ares risen again?" he sighs. --- "I'll try" she says. Steph pulls out a tablet and starts checking. "Cluster of signals, fourth floor" Steph says. --- Then you have my services "Oh, you wanna do it yourself?" asks Joker. "So what do you think gang? Should we help Zoom, and let him join our merry crew?" --- "I told you, no-one sent me" the Green Arrow said, pulling the arrow out and aiming for the knee this time.
"I said nothing to test you on, sir. I was simply teasing Mr. Gold." states Psylocke. She quiets while waiting for Booster's answer. Time to see if this man kept his story straight or if he'd been lying to her. ------ Superboy waits for a reaction and getting none from Damien pouts. "Well.... I think they're cool...." He shuffles out the bedroom door. Damien was just jealous. That had to be it. Looking around he's struck by how big this home is again. He uses his x-ray vision to try and find Duke.
Bucky smirks "Then find the fastest route." --- Scarecrow shrugs "I don't mind." Zoom glares at Joker. --- Bruce rolls out of the way and sweeps his leg to trip Green Arrow "Then where did you get these lies that I have caused these problems." "Thank you." Booster says as he grabs the cup. He then shakes his head "Not Ares, there is a man who is collecting the Infinity Stones." --- Damien follows Superboy "So, what is your civilian name?"
Blood goes to hand Psylocke her cup of tea. "And what might these... infinity stones be?" Blood asks. --- Damien would see Duke and a female human (presumably Cassandra) walking up some stairs. --- Steph looks at Bucky. "You know, as a kid I always wanted to meet Captain America" said Steph. "You're a lot ruder than I expected." Steph looks at the tablet. "First set of stairs, up to the fourth floor." --- Joker in turn looks over Clayface. ((@TFan2013 )) --- "Oh believe me, I've read the police reports, the newspapers, my own research..." Green Arrow headbutts Bruce. "There are no lies!"
"I'm Jon!" smiles Superboy. "And that other guy said you were 'Damien,' right?" He then spots Duke going up the stares and quickly trots to them. "HEY! You guys ready for food?!" ---- Clayface nods. "If he can take out the other speedsters then he is surely a boon." -------- Psylocke smiles at Blood and whispers a quiet. "Thank you." Before sipping quietly to listen to Booster Gold's explanation.
