With all the QC polishes they did to Challenger, I'd imagine it pushed back Megatron a bit. Since UT is always quiet, I'm thinking we'll get an update in April or May with an actual color prototype.

Just discovered this, big fan of his TLK Design, I'm new to collecting Bayverse figures and 3rd party, is this scheduled to come out this year? Will he be as tall as MPM Megatron? Is there other OS KO of TLK Megatron?

 

It is supposed to be out this year yes. It should be around the same scale as MPM Megatron but I am not sure of how well. I Don't think there are other KOs of TLK Megatron. But I am not a specialist honestly.

 

He is not going to be as tall as MPM 8... UT's Dragoon is an original design by the way and there is also a OS KO of the Hasbro voyager.

There is a very nice OS KO of TLK Megatron from Weijiang, name is Rendsora, it's based on voyager TLK Megatron, it's scales well with MPM figures, 30cm, a slightly bigger than leader class, with diecast plus quite a few improvements. It has several versions, the latest version has:

• Battle damage color scheme
• The faceplate can switch like the leader class
• Articulated hands
• Flame effect from TLK leader class
• And it's very affordable price: around $35 USD including shipping.

To be honest, I'm very satisfied with this Weijiang version, and I don't think I need any other TLK Megatron from UT or another companies, especially when the other version might be $150 while this is $35...a true gem.

 

It’s nice from what we’ve seen so far! Far as height I believe it was said he was rumored to be 29cm which is 11.8inches and mpm megatron is 12inches which is 30cm so roughly the same height which I guess works since tlk megs was slightly shorter than his other representations of himself

If you're happy with it thats cool, but I'd rather buy this because it's something new, built from the ground up as a masterpiece compared to a well painted oversized KO. Depends on how much people are willing to spend I guess.

Nope. Naturally, Unique Toys is making their Megatron scale with their own Optimus.

27cm tall, and Megatron has been described to be a head taller than him.

 

That would make him no taller than 28 cm, right? If so that would make him 1cm shorter than TWs Prime, which isn't gonna work for me.
I'd mabye be okay with them being the same height, but Megs just can't be shorter than Prime.

 

I don't think we have an exact height yet, just "a head taller" as our only indicator. I think he'll be like two centimeters taller, so maybe close enough to be the same height as Knight Orion. If I was going with the TW OP, that'd be good enough for me. Officially though, TLK Megatron is two feet taller than Optimus, so depends on your preference.

 

If they're the same height i'd be okay with it. I would prefer Megatron to be taller than Prime, as you said it's more accurate, but them being the same height works too.

 

So, it's been about a month since unique toys promised an update in March, and about 5 months since we've heard anything about this guys. Holy crap unique toys are really taking their time with this guy. Tbh, any kind of update would be nice but at this point the wait is getting ridiculous.
