No problem! I had the same thing happen to me, but figured it was an error but then saw TCP's post on Facebook about those sorts of emails going out erroneously.

 

I was super stoked at first for this guy but I'm a bit wary now based on uniquetoys usual odd design choices...
I mean I'm not engineer or toy designer but man they just make some stupid decisions on their figures for no good reason.
Their figures aren't bad but all these little weird design choices always drag down figure for me.

I loved peru kill but damn, why couldn't they have just given him a ball jointed neck? Actually, it seems uniquetoys refuses to use ball joints at all.
Or they could have at least reduced the collar so his head could actually turn at least 180 degrees. Wouldn't make much of a difference in screen accuracy but that extra articulation goes a long way. Or his knees... I mean they're fine but they could have at least figured out a way to lock them into place in robot mode. Or even just his hands not being able to hold his cannon securely. Like literally every other toy company that has a figure holding a gun has figured out how to make their toys hold the gun securely. Unless you plug the cannon into his forearm, he won't be able to hold it.

For Challenger, I was soooo stoked for him but he was a bit disappointing upon getting it in hand. Paint chipping. I mean like just touching it makes it snow all over the table. His feet and ankles are the worst part in my opinion. The hinge for his toe is way too loose. Also, the fact that he doesn't have forward and back foot articulation along with the loose toe, limits posing.

From seeing the photos of dragoon, it does seem like uniquetoys is sticking to their weird design choices again as it doesn't look like dragoon has much ankle articulation, if any, by the way his feet not sitting perfectly flat in any of the pictures. Impossible to tell if they pulled another peru kill neck design but hopefully not. Lastly, I really really really hope he doesn't have the paint chipping issue challenger does.

 

I think your Challenger is defective, like some of the other V1... The V2 is really an improvement in every way!

UT is improving a lot with every release, I have high hopes for Dragoon!

 

I still have v2, and consider him a battle damaged version next to my El CID. Justifies me keeping it.

Im not disappointed because these transform pretty faithfully in both modes. I'm trying to design some action figures and there will be sacrifices for accuracy and cost, as well as production.

I'd make a few changes myself. If I cant find a good enough representation, I wait. Then I again, I didnt hate El CID, and alot if people felt it was garbage.

 

El Cid is good in concept, I like him, but the build quality is quite bad...

I have a weird feeling that this figure will never look as good as that sick photo with the two lights on him.

 

Pretty darn good considering the one on the right actually transforms.

 

That's my feeling. I actually considered getting a 3a Knight Optimus and Megatron, but for 300 dollars less... I mean there have been designs there was no reason they couldn't have been more faithful on. These are so humanoid that I'm surprised the alt modes aren't severely affected.

I'm anxious to see colored shots.

 

I can't lie... In that static pose with all of his joints hidden he looks great! You can even say that he's spot on.
His head position does concern me. Can he even look up and down? I don't know why more companies haven't started putting heads on ball joints. They'll give the figure amazing articulation everywhere else then stop at the neck. (Maketoys seekers are a great example.)

At this point with UT, we should be expecting delays. All this is really starting to dampen my enthusiasm for this figure
