There's probably a reason for those sorts of things, but yeah, Funimation does sometimes sit on things for a reason. There was that whole year delay for Evangelion 3.33 (which was supposedly to address some quality thing?), and they also sat on the Stein's;Gate movie for a similar length of time as well.

 

Date a Live III is great, Kurumi is still best girl. I love Shidou becoming a kid.

 

Oh, looking back, it seems you just asked about it, must've been someone else that watched it...Go in with very low expectations, I made a post about my thoughts about it if you want to search for it, the music really is the only thing good about it, which is a shame since it was something brought together by 3 very good creators.

 

Gundam X is definitely different and I am enjoying it.

 

I watched the long-awaited Non Non Biyori movie, and it’s fantastic as expected. It may only be 70 minutes long, but all of it is breathtakingly beautiful and relaxing. It’s hard to believe it was 2016 when we last had something new for this series, since watching this makes it feel like no time has passed.

While it would’ve been nice for the film to be longer, a good amount of stuff happens without there being any pacing issues. A lot of it is spent seeing and doing various beautiful things and activities in Okinawa. On top of that there’s the heartwarming friendship between Natsumi and Aoi that feels so genuine even with the movie’s short runtime. It’s hard to describe just how calm and fulfilled this series always makes me feel, and I hope I don’t have to wait too long to feel that way again.

Get on this movie if you haven’t yet. And if you haven’t watched Non Non Biyori at all yet, I don’t know what you’re doing with your life.

I did at the end of the first season...ending was definitely non-traditional.

 

As of late, I've been watching the 2001 version of Transformers: Robots in Disguise alongside its original Japanese counterpart known as Transformers: Car Robots with the English subtitles provided by Karyuudo Fansubs. I'm already ended up being a bit more than halfway through both versions of the series.

 

I finished Accel World finally and it was a good ending. Now on to the OVA and then the movie.

 

Howls moving castle returns to the big screen for it's 15th birthday dub version on april 7 and 10th and sub on 8th. Funny thing is youtube has removed the official fathom events trailer over copyrights and it's a official studio ghibili release! Lol youtube fails again.

I first saw this show over 10 years ago subbed on YouTube.

This time it is on HULU and dubbed and still funny.

 

Is Joukamachi no Dandelion any good. I was thinking of watching it.

 

I really liked it, it's adapted from a 4-panel? manga, so things may feel abrupt, but the anime did a good job. Aoi is the best with Kanade coming in second. It's a nice comedy anime, I've rewatched it a handful of times.

 

I just came back from the FSN Heaven's Feel movie part II. Overall, it completes what part I alluded to narratively, but also REALLY teases the audience for part III to come next year. Highlights include:

The Saber Alter vs. Berserker confrontation was one hell of a confrontation. Just Ufotable flexing their animation muscles. The love scenes with Shirou and Sakura were well done and cute. There was a surprisingly good amount of humor in the movie despite it being a very dark movie. Sakura's transformation and killing Shinji was just as disturbing as it was in the visual novel.

I'm finally starting BERSERK, the '97 series and the Golden Age films. Been meaning to pick up the manga for a while now and thanks to Youtube channels dedicated to breaking down each story arc, I finally feel compelled to investigate the series as a whole... but I'm not interested in 2016 series.

 

I watched the Accel World movie and it was just Okay nothing great.
