I really want this. I will probably grab a copy since I can get it so easily from AJ. Then I will hunt down the inevitable scanlations so I can read it. I wonder if Go Nagai has seen the Den Toys add on boob kit for the 3P Arcee. I can totally see him using that if he drew this. ROTFLMAO
This makes about as much sense to me as the Ghostbusters thing, which is to say very little. If we\'re gonna have wacky Super Robot crossovers, I don\'t mind in like Super Robot Wars games or something, but I don\'t think I\'ve ever wanted a Transformers / Super Robot mashup.
Im buying it regardless if I read Japanese or not. lol. This Mazinger x Transformers Manga will be so action packed it will practically tell the story itself.

I would be a bit shock if they don't bring the issues out for American Audiences, and I mean the Americas in General, as Mazinger Z is fondly remember by all Spanish Speaking countries. You have the Robot that started the Piloted Super Robot genre, where the main protagonist is a key component of the Mechas - prior to that all Robots were either sentient or under remote control (I.E. Astroboy and Tetsujin 28) - and is going to fight the most famous of all Robots, the Transformers themselves, and you have to be out of your damn mind to limit sells to just Japan and ignore Robot Fans across the world, specially Mazinger fans in Hispanic America, Spain, France, Italy and the Middle East. While his appeal was brief and remember as Tranzor Z, both Mazinger Z and Great Mazinger shows had been released by Discotek Media in their Japanese version, and Mazinger Z Infinity was just release last month (pray the original Animes for UFO Robot Grendizer, Getter Robo and Kotetsu Jeeg don't take too long to get their releases). So there is a clear attempt and interest to reintroduce the Mazinger franchise to the Mainstream U.S. Audiences after the Cutey Honey original Manga was announced, and this crossover is a good attempt to continue that trend.
Wow, Mazinger back in action with Transformers... Mazinger Z was my first robot animation that I passioned fallowed... I want to see this manga. .
Is it? That's pretty cool to hear. For me and a lot of kids in the US, we got exposed to it because of the giant Shogun Warriors robot toys in the late 70s: These robots got permanently etched into our brains because these were the biggest, coolest toys in the world. I still love the Mazinger and Getter Robo designs at least in part because of the Mazinga and Dragun toys, respectively. (Raydeen always seemed like a 2nd stringer to me) Anyway it's super cool that they got Go Nagai to do a cover for this. That's enough to make me wanna buy it.
