Not a fan of crossovers, I find most to be forced an unnecessary. I\'m not even a fan of Screamer being an immortal ghost. Most Decepticons already had a \'superpower\'. Thundercracker had his sonic booms, Skywarp teleported, Megatron had a captive black hole, Rumble had quakes, Buzzsaw had a geometrically sharp beak, etc. Starscream already had his Null Rays, and they were extremely OP. I get that the guy had insane willpower, but he was double-dipping. But hey, it\'s long accepted canon, so can it be worse than DC vs Looney toons, X-men vs Star Trek, or Avengers vs Transformers?

Ugh. Avengers vs Transformers. See, that's kind of the stuff I meant when I said I'm a fan of some but not all crossovers earlier. X-men vs Star Trek (especially in how they did it) and AvsTF is the kind of crossover where it's like,"Why?" for me.

TFs and ST IDW was kinda cool tho' because they did it in the vein of the old ST cartoon series so it was established from page one that it was going to be fun and not meant to be taken ultra seriously. I can get possibly get with GB and TFs too, depends on how they do it.

In one of the early images the sky portal thing above Goser is a reference to the 86’ movie intro. What if there’s a canon explanation for that and not the quintesson murals?

As others have said, if we don\'t get an exclusive Siege Starscream that is his ghost form I will be very disappointed.

It’s just a reference. The creative team behind ghostbusters overloads their books with references. It’s best to not take anything in backgrounds serious and think there’s other meanings. They’re just Easter eggs

Not that it wouldn't be awesome to have a siege ghost SC, but screamer didn't die in his Tetrajet configuration...so it might not be likely to see HasTak grant us this one.

Soundwave also didn’t turn into a tape deck 4 million years before earth but that doesn’t stop people from throwing fits it doesn’t and forcing that figure to turn into one.

In this, he apparently is alive on Cybertron at the beginning when Gozer arrives and dies in the first issue.

So I’m guessing his death won’t be the one from Transformers: The Movie.

He wasn’t on Cybertron in G1 in 1984 (or circa the 1990s when the GB comic is arguably set) and he didn’t die at that point.

So this isn’t literally the cartoon continuity. I mean, it could be based on the first two Sunbow seasons but Starscream is dying 20 years early and I haven’t seen what his alt mode is.

For that matter, did we see him Transform as a ghost at all?

It’s just a comic book. It’s for fun. We don’t need to try and shoehorn it into continuity and try and pluck what episodes from the cartoon could take place in it.

Continuity is what makes comics fun though. I'm sure that this will be out of continuity with pretty much all other versions of Transformers and seeing what continuity they put together is going to be part of the fun.

I'm guessing it will be mostly accurate to the early Sunbow cartoons in some ways but that characters will live and die that don't fit with anything. That's cool.

Yeah, but this is like trying to canonize Batman/Punisher to the actually Marvel or DC universes.
