Found these at Target, and they're *weird.*

On the bright side, I found it interesting that the game was able to use names like Vortex, Blackjack and Warpath.

 

Still never seen these in any store, let alone Target.

Yes.

Vortex is actually Energon Stormcloud and shares the same 'mold' as Whirl. Blurr, Hot Rod and Prowl all share the same 'mold' too.


And weird is right.

The only real crap looking ones are the dino's robot modes (in comparison to the rest)

Oh man, I feel bad for Grimlock and Megatron. They seriously have the worst models in the game. And I have all of set 1!

 

The dinosaur forms look good though. The robor modes are terrible.

I laughed out loud when I saw BW Megatron. You can't help but laugh at the shear wackiness of his design.

 

Alot of them look pretty good.
Ravage looksreally good IMO.

IF I bought those, I would use the actual TFs instead of those crappy 3D cards. They should have had Don Figasomethin' just draw them pictures. I do like Beast Megs' attack of "raving insanity." Perfect choice.

Of course he can. As fans, it is our duty to expect such things!  

But yeah, wow those dinos look weird :S
They could have helped tremendously just be printing the head to scale. Even if there was a big blank area around it because of the size of the piece, it would still look better.

I'm disappointed they didn't do a G1 or Classics Prime. They could have then done Ultra Magnus, so it's not like the "mold" wasn't reusable.


Oh, and I never looked at all of set 1. Why don't longarm and payload have the correct paint schemes from the toys or video games?
