I got two Right now I'm waiting for the credits to finish rolling. Everyone has their phones out. I'll give my thoughts when I get home.
I don’t think it was bad more underwhelming? I know going in she’s not going to be in any real danger and that she’s going to be in endgame. So were left with the story of Carol and how she become superpowered. People fell asleep in my row. It’s not terrible but I’m never going to watch this again.
My theater broke into massive applause at the intro oh my GOD that was amazing like holy shit you are NOT prepared
?? Please explain to us how that's any different than knowing Iron Man was not in real danger because he was going to be in Avengers 2, how Captain America was never in real danger in Civil War because we knew he'd be in Infinity War, or a million other examples. In what Marvel solo movie that you've seen did you ever have the impression that the main character really might not survive to be in the sequels?
Ok... a couple YouTube vids out there with audience scores... but I've been hitting RT all day. No scores yet. But would there be? Despite today's showings the film officially starts tomorrow.
So, hey, not to take away from the fact that Marvel and Disney definitely deserve criticism for the way they treated Stan, but his Twitter account is not actually owned or operated by anyone at Marvel or Disney. It's operated by Stan's estate. It's still pretty scummy, but not necessarily directly influenced by Marvel/Disney.
Really? Knowing Avengers 3 was coming? Stan was so into promoting that I'm not even sure he'd be bothered by this. In fact I'm pretty sure he wouldn't.
I can see that from a story perspective. But not from a marketing and movie sequels perspective. The guy they have playing Bucky is good, but I don't think he has the charisma to carry a movie. Not a Marvel movie, anyway. Maybe some indie drama thing or something, I guess.
At the time my thoughts were that this was the last solo Cap film... Avengers breakup... put Bucky into a path of redemption... reunite the team based on death / sacrifice of Rogers... and Chris Evans was talking about calling it quits.
Well that was a good movie. Not mindblowing amazing, but good enough that I really enjoyed it and left with a smile on my face. Also, I surprisingly like Carol Danvers. Brie Larson isn’t always the most expressive, but she did a well enough job. Her constant delivery of jokes that didn’t always land so well honestly reminded me a lot of myself. The rest of the cast were really good. I really liked Fury, Goose, and the women who played Mar-Vell.
I kinda feel the same. I broke a few tears when seeing it, but I think it would have a much larger effect on me before or after Endgame.
