Just got a Skyhammer I completely forgot I was even bidding on. I think I paid like 20 bucks for him shipped. The only parts missing are the blue wing laser gun and the other golden missile/gun.

Fortunately nothing is broken, just a few bits cracked off and the only one where it it affects the figure's appearance is on the other tab on the big vehicle shell where a bit has broken off...but this guy was so stupidly tight that I felt like transforming him would send me to an early grave so I took a dremel to it, took him apart and essentially sanded down the bits of gold plastic that were particularly tight until they were just snug enough to hold their position but easy enough to move around.

 

Thank you! Ive decided to start collecting the original G1, I cant stop looking at it and fiddle with it. So much memories!

I am thinking of displaying the original as botmode and getting a reissue as altmode. Next victim is prime.

The trailer is too pristine, Ive asked the seller if it was but i doubt hed be honest about it.

 

If you ever need parts or pieces and cant find elsewhere I recommend Wheeljacks Lab. The guy who runs it is cool and I did a couple of trades with him for extra Omega parts I had and got some stuff I needed. He also ships out really fast and parts are exactly what I need.

So question to collectors of Sky Lynx. How did you tighten up his neck? The one I picked up has some loose joints in his neck and I tried the floor polish trick and tightening the screws, but still seems kind of loose. I want to tighten it up a little more before I slap some new stickers on the neck screw holes.

Also, the battery terminals in Lynx are corroded. Is there anyway to salvage it and get him walking again.

 

Whilst impatiently awaiting Siege wave 2, i got these beauts out for a quick play. Prowl and Ironhide have been a lot of fun. Sixgun? Enh...

 

Have any of you ever run across this on reissue or vintage stickers? The box doesn’t appear to have any water damage so I’m not sure what I’m looking at.

 

Is the pack sealed? Looks almost like mold spores.

 

I haven’t opened the sticker bag, but it does have the punched hole in it.

 

Well open it and see if you can simply wipe it off.

I'd also go with this. Wouldn't be the first time I've seen this sort of thing, but it's pretty damn rare.

 

I opened it up and couldn’t scrub it off with soap/water, and then with Lysol wipes. I left it sitting out on a board under some Lysol wipes and that has cleared it up mostly. I’ll leave it over night, but I’ve already ordered some replacement labels from Toyhax.

Found a Grimlock in good condition while I was checking out a vinyl store. I just need to purchase his weapons and he’ll be all set!
