All I have to say on this matter is movie awards are mind numbing.

 

So empty, meaningless accolades. Gotcha.

 

No award means anything unless it's given by MANLY MEN for MANLY MAN films!

 

I guess the thing to note about this is that it isnt really an “award” per se. Its...as it says on the tin, a stamp that films are given by meeting certain criteria in their production. Its no more a sign of quality than a rating say. What it is a sign of is a certain hiring profile, or as one of the people in the article states:

“It is also an incredibly useful tool that I use as a guide when we staff our productions. I have the checkmarks in my head as we cast and hire department heads. I want every production we do to earn the mark.”

Which, if you are trying to attract talent and reassure them that their working place will be safe and transparent might be a good place to start (but certainly not end).

 

I guess thats a thing now, right?

Judge a film based on its quality as a film, not these politically motivated agendas. It’s already well past the point of absurdity as is

 

It's like the "PETA/Humane Society" mark and other such things.

 

What is an award and what is a stamp ,do they really exist? Does anything really matter, we are but a small part of what is the overwhelmingly massive cosmos, where stars are born, grown, and reborn

So weird how so many of the Transformers Community are Braincels

you know after how gross Michael Bay treated his women caricatures in his films, this is actually a nice thing to be able to to say about a transformers movie. It may not be high praise, but it is certainly a step in the right direction.
