That's a lot to unpack, but here I go.

Mine holds together quite well, even the shoulders had no problems. I never had to do any adjustments. Even my Road Rage, who had a loose bonnet, had no problems with the knees and the backpack.

My copy's neck clicks into place, maybe you're not pushing it forward enough.

I agree that the wings are too long, but that's merely an aesthetic choice. Also, he has great arm articulation, he has all the standard points of articulation plus forward butterfly joints. As for the gun, it's understandable for him to not have it since he didn't have it in the show.

Rodimus is indeed more solid, but his proportions are too far from the source material and his vehicle mode has no play feature. Tracks had a 3rd mode and a display stand to boot.

It looks like some of your complaints might be QC issues rather than actual design flaws though.

Wow, I knew some people were deluded over this dumpster fire, but okay, you're just plain wrong, especially since most people have had these issues.
I don't have yours so I can't speak for it but I would not be surprised if you're one of those people who just stick it on a shelf and look at it, unless you bought a KO, in which case your argument is invalid.
I play with mine extensively, and from the moment I got Tracks into robot mode for the first time, I was severely underwhelmed.
Most people have had these issues - it's not a QC problem; it's a design flaw. Most clips are shallow. The backpack tabs into the torso which tabs into the shoulders from the front and when you move the shoulders enough, the moves the chest, untabbing everything. Again, it's not QC - the tabs aren't actually loose, there's just very little to hold it all together.

As for the knees, it's a known problem (that was supposedly fixed on Road Rage and some KOs) - the ratchet joints are designed in a way that there is too much give between each space and so he wobbles. I confirmed this myself by opening his legs up to see how they're designed, and then did the mod where you pad the spring-loaded ratchet pieces with styrene to make the ratchets tighter - it makes a world of difference.

Probably the dumbest thing I've heard so far this year. The neck literally cannot clip into place, unless you're talking about pushing it too far up so it's ever-so-slightly angled, which it isn't designed to do and bends the plastic - this is the solution a lot of people have used to "click it in place", but it's not intended and WILL mar the plastic over time.
Being too long is, yes, but not have a dedicated place to tab them into is a pain and unless you spend ages positioning them, the shoulders will whack the wings with ease.
Patently false. That's a transformation joint designed to move diagonally, and it is not meant to move in robot mode because you tab the shoulders in. Untabbing them may net you some more articulation, but it's not meant to do that, and untabbing those means the backpack comes untabbed partially or fully too.
Which would be a valid point if the gun wasn't an existing mould that was included with Road Rage. And you're also neglecting the point that, at the time, TakaraTomy weren't going for super-cartoon-accuracy with the Masterpiece line - they were blending toy, toon and realistic elements together to create the "best" interpretation. The fact that his big gun cannon thing was included with the repaint and not him cannot be attributed solely to "it wasn't in the cartoon so it's understandable". That's dumb/
So Tracks' big head, non-existent neck and hollow torso aren't "too far" from the source material? Hot Rod's shoulders are too wide, his head might be a little too small (though it's not that noticeable on his own) and his chest could be shaped better, but his proportions really aren't that bad (especially in person - I hated the figure before I bought him but he looks much better in person, for whatever reason).
And seriously, vehicle modes need a "play feature" now? Okay, sure, Hot Rod has issues with the vehicle mode clearance (you still haven't clarified if you're talking about HOT ROD or RODIMUS PRIME (who also has a Hot Rod mode, but they're NOT both Rodimus either way) but I assume you mean Hot Rod because MP-09 Rodimus works fine in both vehicle modes) so he doesn't roll well, and it's unfortunate that the canopy doesn't open, but... what else do you want? His guns tab into the vehicle in a couple of different ways and he looks like Hot Rod in vehicle mode. I'm not sure what more you think he needs (other than the obvious clearance for the wheels, which I swear I managed to pull off once but never again, and it's admittedly a baffling flaw).

And really, the "third mode" is pretty basic. Fun, but basic. I can flip Hot Rod's arms out in vehicle mode and stick him on a stand too, you know.
Plus, the stand is just a fun extra accessory (also used to cross-promote their new stands that they were selling separately and were compatible with many figures at the time). Hot Rod comes with fun accessories too, such as his fishing rod.
They're not, they're design flaws. Nothing is actually loose, as such - just poorly designed to hold together well.
The KO one is, ironically, improved (if you got one of the good KOs, anyway) - they fixed the knees and the bonnet, for starters.

Anyway, I've ranted about how shit Masterpiece Tracks is so I'm done now. I must have repeated this argument multiple times now, but it's pretty clear that a lot of people don't like him (because he sucks).

I guess this explains why you guys don't like MP Tracks. Figures as I don't own the original. lol I can say though that aside from the wings, I didn't have much difficulty with the KO toy. Posing wasn't a problem either.

Or did I get a "fluke"?

Some of the KOs (don't remember which ones) improved some of the issues. Not sure about it tabbing together better, but I've heard the knees and bonnet were fixed. It definitely makes a difference, though he's still hollow and rather ugly (and this is from someone who really likes Tracks a lot).

You say most people have them, but I didn't so I'm not holding those supposed flaws against it. I'm also not saying that Tracks is flawless, which he's very far from it, but I don't see him as the worst.

Mine came with a collector coin, so unless KO's have those coins, I'm assuming mine is legit. Also, while I do stick it on a shelf most of the time, I do bring it down and play with it every couple of months or so, and it's still holds together pretty well.

The backpack tabs into the doors while the chest tabs into the shoulders, aside from being connected to the central torso frame, have nothing connecting the moving parts and therefore would cause a chain reaction of untabbing everything.

Like I said, mine doesn't wobble. If I pose his legs, he stays in that position.

Yes, I do push it so that it's angled, but I haven't seen even the slightest bit of a crack on the transparent plastic, so you can call it a fan mode fix is you want, but it works.

Not gonna defend the wings, moving on.

I'm not talking about the joint the chest tabs into, I'm talking about the one after that, where the wheel shoulder are attached to. Those joints allow the arms to move inward, like what MP Megatron and Sunstreaker can do. Also the chest and arms have nothing to do with keeping the backpack in place, since the backpack tabs into the doors in the back.

They did it before with Wheeljack and his toy accurate shoulder cannons, they gave it to his repaint Exhaust.

The hollowness of the torso doesn't matter since you can't see it from the front. Also, I don't see his head as being too big or his nonexistent neck as an issue, since necks are a small detail that is often overlooked. Rodimus looks like he's wearing a sweater 2 sizes too big.

Like I said, I'm talking about MP-28, since anything before MP-10 followed their own rules. As for vehicles having play features, I'm only bringing it up since you were saying that Rodimus' articulation was fun to play with. Tracks' vehicle modes were just as big a selling point as his robot mode was.

I'm sure I can fanmode Rodimus into a beast mode, a jet or even a gun, but that doesn't mean that it's an official mode with dedicated parts for it.

If they're indeed design flaws, then it should be found in all of them. Like I said, mine didn't have those.

Like I said, Tracks is one of the more poorly designed MPs out there, but I wouldn't put him in the bottom.

I hope they're re-working the wings so that they'll be part of the back-pack, rather than be mounted on the arms.

That's all MFT does, so it's pretty safe to assume it is.

I believe MFT isn't truly Legends size. More like Legends +.

They vary in size. Pipes, Huffer, Swerve and Gears are exactly the same size as a Titans Returns Legends class Toy, The Lamborghinis and Hound are bigger. Doesn't bother me much as I didn't really need Optimus to be able to pick Bumblebee up and hug him like Toddler.

GTFO! I was actually wondering last night when we'd get an update on this. I was also hoping the delay was due to the designer(s) taking their time to get the wings to attach to the back and not the arms. Oh well, still great that it's coming along. Now if they would finally say something about their Sunstreaker.
