Is there anyone who already ordered these at any online retail like BBTS or Hasbro pulse? If so, how do you feel about your preorders now that they are showing up at normal stores?

 

I preordered at Pulse. I'm happy people are finding them at brick and mortar stores, but I don't have the time to hunt. It's much easier to just click and wait, rather than spend anywhere from 20 minutes to an hour driving around and maybe coming up empty handed.

I've got free shipping from Pulse, so barring a sale at a physical store, prices will be pretty much identical (if not technically cheaper through Pulse, since I don't have to spend my time and gas hunting).

 

I might start doing this now. None of my local stores have gotten a shipment of transformers in over a month, and none scheduled apparently.

Pretty sure Target is using separate DPCIs for individual items now.

 

Only for online sales, stores still receive and stock them under a single case assortment DPCI that will be the same for all waves, so if you're using say Brickseek you'll want to use that number (which unfortunately means it's just a "yes we have voyagers instock" or "no we don't" scenario, only way to know whether it's Optimus and Megatron or Soundwave and Starscream for sure is to go to the store and check it out).

 

Would you like me to copy you every time I post a photo of a Soviet grocery store? Because I can. In fact, I'll be stopping at another tonight on the way home from my LCS.

I don't have a dog in this fight with my Takara preorders but I won't let you paint everybody in these retail black holes as lazy. You shouldn't have to live next door in the sporting goods department to find something now and then!

Although, if your point is to go online when retail is useless then I would absolutely agree.

 

You could go online, I've said before this stuff is available online. I know we're on the cusp of new generational thinking, but not everything is brick and mortar anymore, places like Amazon and BBTS really are stores that you, me, and everyone else can frequent. Hasbro Pulse is now a thing, too, and it's not the same old Hasbro Toy Shop anymore. You could have just bought all of Wave 1 plus have preordered Wave 2 from them and be all set.

But honestly again, if this was say Wave 3 or 4 then it's understandable, but no, this is Wave 1 that hit brick and mortar at the beginning of the year. So maybe saying they're lazy is harsh, and I don't want to be mean, but come on, these toys were literally shipped everywhere, and lots of people have found them in stores just fine (presumably without anyone camping out in the camping gear section). So I really think if you weren't able to find them yet, then sorry not sorry but clearly you are doing it wrong.

That's what I was thinking. I've seen a Cog and a Flywheels at different ends of the county so far.

It’s literally just 2 Flywheels and 2 Megatrons. Both of which are from the 2 cases my Walmart first put out when they got Siege. They’ve been there for 2 months, it’s looked like that for 2 months.

 

I'm not saying it's great, but it's looking better than RKillian's 2 Micromasters.

I was already sold on getting both figures but those super clear shots of Soundwave really, really show what great sculpt that is. I know some people don't like the greeble aesthetic (I have mixed feelings on it) but on this Soundwave it looks great. I cannot wait for my pre-order to arrive!
