Really wish they were going with the Voyager class Optimus design for the series. The inner robot for Cybertron Optimus looks a bit too chunky to me

As I've said before I'm fully willing to give this a chance, but if it sucks, I'll have no issue dropping it.

Seems like a nice start.

 

Haven't been able to read the interview yet, but here are my thoughts on the images.

1. I love the little rover guy. He's cute and I love to see new characters introduced into the series.

2. I really hope we get a Windblade figure in Siege or some other part of the trilogy toyline. Since all her official figures have ranged from passable to not really good, and the only good 3p Windblade that I'm aware of is tiny and hard to find.

 

I dunno... They've both got about the same head shape (from behind, anyway), but the slender arms and especially the wings sticking up in the back make me think Nope is correct about it being Froid.

 

The reboot is starting to feel more and more "real" to me now, and it's definitely making me appreciate the Siege line more, too. Art looks good, I like the pre-war atmosphere. The only thing that feels a little odd is just how toy-accurate they're being here. We first had that art of Megs that even included the mushroom peg in his leg, now we're seeing the COMBAT system ports on Megatron's arms. It's not jarring yet, but it almost feels like we're back in the days of the Cybertron cartoon, where even a figure's screws were included in its character model!

 

This sounds promising. Very excited to read it.

 

I'll wait and if it's good I buy the Vol 1 trade.

 

It looks good but some of those designs are teeerrible

 

This really has promise, I can't wait to see how this continuity develops and what will happen once we reach the inevitable end of Cybertron being left unhabitable.

 

Complex political issues, probably.
