I went back and read the 1st page, and apparently I missed that part about the price.

I will be painting orders only this month, then I will make a tutorial how to clean, sand and paint the pieces, I'm painting the pieces for extra usd 40. about your second question, I will be painting the pieces as the last 2 pic in the last post, I find it more show accurate. Swindle is in the same position you are using for UT Ragnaros, but in fact I can make adapters to place him turned around, yes it is the same size as Zeta Bruticus or TW Devastator, the price is listed above in the first post, 100 plus shipping, you can see the shipping prices in the first post as well , sure Pm me whenever you want, as I said I will be painting pieces only January, then I'll be selling them without paint, thanks :)

REALLY cool upgrade set man! Well done.

    Question for you…

I have a COMPLETE UT Bruticus/set. And ALL of my tolerances are great.
And even tho I like his size, I'm curious how Zeta's Onslaught would do to his appearance.

Since I already have the UT Onslaught, I'm wondering if I would need the whole set?
And if not, would you sell just the parts I'd need?

    I like UT's hands & feet…

    So would I just need:
    - The 2 arm connectors
    - The 2 knee adapters
    - Calf Cover for Gahz
    - Calf Cover for Arch

And if I kept the stock TOY chest of Zeta's, would I need anything else?

    Thanks man!

Hello, thanks for posting, I'm assuming when you mean his size you mean Zeta Armageddon size, if so, you need to buy Zeta Blitzkrieg (Onslaught) so you can use the set connecting UT limbs to Zeta torso Blitzkrieg, you can sell UT Onslaught if you wish , in case you use UT hands and knees is always possible , but it will be shorter and compared with TW Constructor the arms looks shorte too, I prefer how it looks with the hands extensions, anyway, it would not make too much difference to the price, I will send a pm to you with more details , thanks for asking :)

    Received my kit this week.
Spent the first few days just sanding, filing and cleaning it up. The prints are pretty rough and there’s a lot of banding and stringing. I’ve done plenty of 3D printing myself so had a decent idea what to expect but this set is a little rough to look at.
Having said that, the tolerances are spot on. Once I’d cleaned up the surfaces a little pretty much every thing slotted and fitted together pretty well. One of the wrist pieces needed some extra filing to the slot but otherwise it’s an extremely well toleranced and designed kit.
I will defintely recommend folks take it slow when assembling and keep a file and sand paper nearby. It would probably fit together fine straight out of the box but the rough surface means you’d probably struggle to take it apart again. Go slow, sand and clean up the joints, and don’t force things and it will do well.
It looks amazing when assembled. The wonky proportions from UT’s stock build are completely fixed and the five figures go together perfectly. Now that everything’s test fitted and I’m happy the set works well, I’ll disassemble and go over it again with more sanding and cleaning up. I’ll hit the surfaces with some filler, sand and smooth to get a decent surface ready for painting. A lot of the adaptor parts aren’t even really visible so should be easy to finish. The calf covers are a brilliant addition that fill out the legs really well, through the print surface on mine is really rough. Lots of layer lines, and gaps -but nothing some filler, primer and paint won’t fix.
This is a great set and well worth the money. It works fine as is and as long as your happy with the Unique Toys shuttle chest (or Zetas toy chest) you can even get away with minimal paint apps.
    Can definitely recommend.

On a slightly related note, the process of transforming these guys from bot to vehicle to combined mode and then assembling Bruticus is an ordeal. Took about 3 hours all up (going slow and cleaning up parts on the way)
The transformation on Unique Toys figures is brutal. Everything tabs together really well but the tabs are insanely tight and require some major force to seperate. I think Blastoff was the worst and I actually snapped off one of the shuttle wings transforming him, which is a major pain. Still works but will need some glue and probably be pretty fragile. Then going from those four to Zetas Onslaught, you could totally feel the difference. The transformation was just as solid, the final figure held up fine in bot and alt, but the tolerances where so much better and nothing required brute force to peg or un-peg. And slotting him into the torso piece was immensely easy and satisfying.
I’m not looking forward to transforming Unique Toys guys back to Alt mode but I am now really looking forward to Zetas Aerialbots. They really seem to have improved a lot since Constructor (based on Onlslaught) at least in terms of tolerances and transformation. Pity their other Combaticons look like ass.
Definitely happy with my Bruticus though.

Hello man , I'm extremely happy you have received your set and could deal with the problem in tolerances we had in version 1 of this set, you were the last set with these problems, I fixed most of the problems in tolerances now, so the people who are receiving the set now won't have these problems with sanding a lot, maybe a bit only now, I was worried because of the knees, but I'm happy you could deal with that problem, I tuned up most of the pieces and the set is almost ready to go now, thanks a lot for supporting my work and writing your review here, I hope you can enjoy the kit and you can paint it as soon as you can, thanks again

    :)

Thanks for sharing all your thoughts on this. I bought a set but haven’t received it yet. Can’t wait to handle it.

    Have a few questions.

What type of filler did you use. I want to sand it down and have a smoother look as I’m not a fan of how that 3D printed plastic looks.

Also what color paint are you going to use. I want to try and match it up exact. Especially the tan and green for the calf legs fillers.

No worries. I’ve tried different fillers. There’s “Mr Hobby Mr Surfacer” which is a really nice one that is basically ABS plastic dissolved in a solvent. Dries hard and clean. But it expensive, comes in a tiny jar and is a lot of hard work to sand and clean after (because it basically dries into solid plastic). Also if you forget to tighten the lid properly it dries into a solid lump of plastic!!
I’ve actually started using a filler from the hardware store. Polyfilla External Timber filler. It’s designed to fill gaps in decking and outside wood so it’s really durable (but it’s actually a plastic/polymer based filler not a clay or powder based). It dries pretty hard but it sands REALLY easily. It’s fairly cheap, easy to apply and comes in a fairly large tub. Takes a bit of extra effort to sand to a truly smooth finish but I like it.
Because I basically just need to fill in the print lines it should work well it sands a lot easier than the 3D printed plastic so I lather it on, let it cure and sanding it back till I hit the plastic. It should level out pretty well.
For paint I use Tamiya TS paints (synthetic lacquers). They’re tough, dry pretty quick and have a really nice glossy finish. They only come in spray cans though. I decant them out into small glass bottles to spray through an airbrush. I’ll end up mixing different colours to get the best match I can. Otherwise you end up chasing your tail trying to find a colour that matches precisely.
I’ll Prime with an automotive Filler Primer which helps to fill in minor imperfections and level things out, then multiple coats of the Tamiya lacquer. I usually allow a week or two for it to properly cure and harden before aessembly.
Haven’t quite worked out the best clear coat yet. I use Future which is nice but could be a bit tougher. I tried Alclad Super Gloss lacquer but the damned stuff doesn’t ever really cure. You go back 3 months later and start handling the figure and the top coat starts to soften and get sticky. Frustrating.
I’ve been looking at the automotive 2 part lacquers for a super durable clear coat but they’re really fiddly to work with.

Hey, just starting the process of ordering the bots, but before I press the complete order button, I have 2 questions for you. 1. With the added bonus of still using the Zeta feet as bases for the armbots, I would only be interested in the adapters for the UT legbots. Not sure if you have the Zeta limbs, but that is the combination I find preferable, since I don't like the look of the Zeta legbots, but dig the G1 look of the UT legbots, if you have the Zeta armbots, would you post a pic of how that would that look like? 2. How much would the cost be just for the pieces for the leg swap?
