I really don't care about Studio Series. It's impressive that they're going out of their way to make the figures scale well and try and get them as screen-accurate as possible, but... that doesn't stop the designs they're being so faithful to from being beyond ugly and overcomplicated.

The BB movie stuff is better on that front, I am rather interesting in BB Optimus, and I'd like to see what Blitzscream looks like in the plastic, but really anything from the Bayverse is just... really unappealing.

I'm not totally against remaking characters. Yea I'd like to see less Primes and Megs for sure, but I'm ok with them hitting the same character more than once. I do wish they would hit more characters than they do, but I'm here for quality toys and as long as we get that I'm pretty satisfied.

Same here. The PotP version has a more screen-accurate appearance, and while the older version is a decent figure, it's huge and doesn't really fit in anymore. Plus that loose chest thing really takes away from the fun.

While i get that most people are mad about the new MP Prices i totally get why it had to happen. Just compare Sideswipe and Sunstreaker. Sunstreaker is leagues above him.

That's true. But over 300 euro for one figure is a big stretch.

I think CW-style combiners kind of suck. Stay with me here. They look cool, largely, but they kind of fail as action figures in their combined forms. Those torso hip joint and combiner knee joint ratchets, in my experience, are barely strong enough to hold any pose other than standing straight up. And on top of that, the feet usually tend to rotate in the 5mm ports and allow the combiner bot's legs to gradually spread out until he falls over. Bummer.

Basically, they are a good concept ruined by bad engineering choices and often spotty QC (take Motormaster for example).

I can only like Siege Shockwave's General Grievous-mode in a "it's so stupid it's good" sort of way.

I agree! I need to attempt to tighten those joints at some point...

Menasor can't stop doing the splits and Bruticus is either trying to touch his toes or count the ceiling tiles. I would like to get those shapeways ratchet replacements someday for my combiners. Abominus is the only one who has decent hips. Superion has perpetual open-heart surgery and Defensor tilts forward and has a loose right hip. I really only have them all combined for the shelf-presense. Plus it looks neat having two combiners next to Megatron while he rides Sixshot in beast-mode.

Botbots are cute, cheap and addictive. They have tons of personality and some great detailing and I want a whole bunch! But aside from the the tech team and some of the shedhead, music mob and arcade renegade members, they don't feel like a transformer toy. They feel like a totally new line made by Hasbro.

Now that I’ve seen more pics of him, I’m starting to slowly warm up to him. The jet mode could be better, but it could be far, far worse...

Just look at it as a Battlestar Galactica crossover toy and it makes the alt mode perfect.

    Agreed.

Unfortunately, that's not the Battlestar Galactica that I care for.
