Oh, you mean the MTV Ren & Stimpy revival where they were gay (?) for some reason? And as for John Kay, yes, he is a terrible, sh*tty scumbag, but from what I've been told from more experienced cartoon experts than I, Kay BARELY worked on the show, and a lot of the stuff people actually liked, was done by a completely different group.

Granted, I honestly don't remember much of the show, and it probably isn't as funny as we all thought it was back then, but I know people have sworn off the show entirely because of Kay's scumbaggery.

    And Sagat's rad AF

I guess I can contribute to that listener question; I've become pretty choosy in my collecting; a lot of the times, they'll be something I have pre-ordered, and as the release date gets closer, I kind of second-guess if I really want it. Or if there's time to get something I've been wanting for a while, I'll do the same thing and a good chance I change my mind.

I remember being ecstatic for the Super Action Statue Ruby Rose, because the only option for articulated figures was ThreeZero, which aren't really my thing. I think it was HLJ's winter sale, they had it for $40 from the original price of 80 or so. I thought about it, and I just couldn't do it. Also, it didn't help that the line just kind of... stopped, and the prototypes for Weiss, Blake, and Yang probably aren't going to ever the light of day in finished form.

I'm exactly where Seth is on MP-45 (and the MP line in general, from the sound of it). "I have become comfortable with my shelf being a little mis-matchy." Exactly!
Plus yeah, those feet, that price, that noggin'

I can't (and won't) defend the statement "I don't want to transform this toy but I want to know that it can," BUT I can offer a bit of an explanation for it with one of my favorite transformation quirks per Silver League's question.
I really enjoy when the panels and pieces of a vehicle mode shift in such a way that they actually construct a limb. E.G. Siege Sideswipe's lower legs are totally hollow but the panels come together in such a way that they form really sold feet. If it's solid enough, I enjoy that a lot more than simply having some hidden limbs tucked in the vehicle mode somewhere.
I think that's one of the things that is lost if a toy does not transform at all, but you don't necessarily need to transform the toy to experience it.

I'm not apposed to non-transforming figures, but without those fun elements the appeal of the appearance and character need to do a ton more work to justify a purchase for me.

I loved the He-Man movie as a kid. Yeah, it makes no sense compared to the original MOTU cartoon, but I liked it. As an adult, I've realized that it's totally a Jack Kirby New Gods movie. Skeletor is essentially Darkseid, He-Man is Orion and so on.
