This figure went from "buying" to "on the fence" because of that gold face.
Looks like I might just stick to my DotM Barry for now.

I quite like the look of Barricade. Compared to Prowl, he is a lot less bland looking. However, for the character's first appearance in a toy line he is quite underwhelming thanks to that plain ol' Datsun head. Personally, I find it kind of neat that this makes it to where that this body type isn't Autobot exclusive but the idea of it being a simple Smokescreen preview is unfortunate. Going to look out of place if every one of the guys with this body type has a unique head except for Barricade and Barricade resembling Smokescreen is a step in that direction.

The Off Road Patrol looks pretty good, although I can't help but question a semi truck's presence in it. Not the type of vehicle that favors off road travel.

Those car Micromasters are the only things that truly suck here. Seriously, near straight recolors of the worst Micromasters of the line? Blegh. When I read the title, I was hoping for some nods toward Blackjack's Combiner Wars incarnation considering they're using Prime Wars toys in the line.

 

I dunno, I'm psyched for Barricade, especially since I didn't need yet another Prowl but I had interest in the mold. Works for me! Though bummed at the lack of "To Punish and Enslave"...

 

Actually mate, your wrong on this one.
Barricade was the leader of the Decepticon Race Track Patrol. Blackjack was the leader of the Decepticon Sports Car Patrol, and Roadhandler was the leader of the Autobot Race Car Patrol.

Digging Barricade; colors are nice and the shoulder guns are cool.  Wish they released a G1 micromaster Barricade instead, but whatever.  Speaking of micromasters, the Offroad Patrol looks great!  Would have preferred Tote over Powertrain.  Hopefully, the other halves of the teams will get released down the road.

 

Am I the only one who was dissappointed PowerTRAIN isn\'t a train cause I got super exicted for a minute there and no I didn\'t know who that was before hand

 

Cmon guys it’s not that bad considering this is the first figure of the Barry characters. We shouldn’t expect much but o definitely like a nemesis to prowl. I’m sure Hasbro will get better and better

I wish the Off Road Patrol Micromasters turned out a bit better. The articulation is very lacking.

Not sure about Barricade. I detest cartoon Smokescreen's face, but I really want a Generations style Barricade.

 

Why is barricade indicative of smokescreen and prowl wasn't? Same face isn't it.

Well considering Barry came to be as a retool of Prowl, I suppose this is fitting.

 

Nah, Prowl was specifically Prowl. I think this is the first time we've seen the Smokescreen head.

Well... not really. They could release Micromaster Barricade in the next or two lines from now and still be fine. After all, we did have two Barrages and two Sky Highs in the original G1.

I’m tempted to make a small display with G1ified versions of unique characters from other continuities. Lugnut, Slipstream, Lockdown, Tidal Wave, Barricade, presumably the Hot Shot hint from Hound. Who else?

 

I can't put my finger on it, but I just feel something is off about Barricade. I do love his guns though, especially in car mode.

 

barricade looks dissapointing. As someone else already mentoned, the face/ head looks just like Smokescreen\'s

 

I think TFCC Barricade makes a better CHUG Barricade than this. Perhaps swapping the heads, maybe, but the body just screams Autobot too much. Its kind of like if they painted a seeker red and called him Powerglide.

Also can we get the other halves of the micromaster teams already ? Or at least confirmation for 2020 ? Thats a question that needs to be asked at any pannel in that toy fair.

 

I love that Barricade! I was so happy hearing we were getting a Barricade for the classics shelf, something I was wanting for years and seeing him here he doesn't not disappoint... But hey I'm just biased towards Barricade, he's one of the all time greats for me.

I sense an Iron Works repaint out of Powertrain here but otherwise I love all four of the Micromasters, just not much to say there.
