I've got a question. has anyone fanmoded a space jet mode, like Overlord does in the anime? I'd like to see what that could look like.

If you're referring to both jet and tank combined as one vehicle, no, it does not combine that way.

Yeah, before I had it in hand, I thought you would be able to. Unfortunately you cannot, do the nature of the transformation. Firstly, the legs connect via the back of the tank rather than the front, which is the opposite of the original toy, so the turret halves would be facing the wrong way. Secondly, you can't get that far anyways, as the leg transformation makes it impossible- because of the way things fold out, to get the shin panels and back treads out of the way to access the leg connectors, you block the turret connection port and fill in the space the feet normally fold into.

 

Well, dang. Seems like an odd omission, though, as that mode was in the anime.

 

It is, but you do get a neat gerwalk mode instead: (an old pic I'm reposting, hence the unextended gun!)



FYI, this mode is way more unbalanced than the robot mode. It took me a good 15 minutes playing around to get that mode to stand long enough for me to take a picture.

But yeah, if you turn the arms back into wing mode, pull those legs straight back and turn the lower leg sideways so the turret halves are "up", you can get a very poor representation of that mode from the cartoon,

 

...that looks ridiculously cool: if it weren't for your caveat, i'd swear you folks are trying to make me buy a figure I can't afford right now...
