I bought the reissue. Had it maybe a month. Probably my fault. Left in Devastator almost the whole time but took apart and... yeah.

 

I didn't really notice when it happened. I found the tab I think or a large pice of it. It's either notched or a smaller piece disappeared. I'd say if when/unlocking the shovel, make sure it's not getting shearing/perpendicular force as much as possible, I'd guess.

 

I think Baltmatrix mentioned this same problem in his review, but I also think he had the CW version. Not sure that it would really matter because I think the only differences between UW and CW were each figures arms and then some paint details.

I've transformed my Scrapper between all three modes multiple times since I got him and my tab is still holding strong.

 

On the subject of combiners, I have a related question: What the hell happened to Monstructor?

We saw a retool of Cutthroat with Wildfly's head, and Snarl with Bristleback's weapon. Since then, nothing. Is Monstructor still on the table or was that just a throwaway retool?  

 

Yeah, my UW-01 came in last week and I sadly noticed the un-grey face. Also the antennae ears seem a bit crooked. I know I could paint them, but I'd rather not. Maybe reprolabels will do something....

On that note, I am growing fond of the Perfect Effect PC 03 Studio Ox head. Very diaclonish. But doesn't appear to be sold anywhere, and the AMO copy of it appears to be lower quality.

 

Who knows? Combiner parts still coming in POTP so.....

Don't forget they could well be Dinoforce/Dinoking and not Monsters/Monstructor. Pretty sure the extra Snarl gun was from the Dinoforce Stegosaurus shell....

 

Can anyone tell me if:

The reissue Devastator still uses a sticker for Scrapper’s shovel, or did they switch to tampo?

Does this version of Silverbolt have the thicker combiner head armature to prevent breakage?

I hope they reissue Bruticus with a fixed version of Blast-off.
I hate how that head falls off constantly.

 

Could we get a Menasor reissue so I can grab so decent bot modes for the stunticons.

 

If they reissue UW Menasor, I hope they fix Motormaster's breakable plastic waist first. I have a backup unopened CW Motormaster to replace him (or his waist) with should he snap in half as others have experienced. It's nice that people who missed out the first time have a chance to get these reissues in general.

 

Oh yeah, I want them reissued too, with the waist fixed.. that’s why I haven’t bothered looking for the UW one.
