Sorry been a little while since I’ve been to this thread. The hinge thing is exactly what their Computron (and I assume Superion kit) does. It works flawlessly. I can only assume not having it is a cost-cutting measure. Seriously considering glueing the front and inner thigh pieces.

I have the Computron kit and I had to sand it. I will say that the Computron kit and most likely the Superion kit are just better than this one. Better designs and better build quality. Honestly, PE is my preferred Combiner upgrade company but even they make mistakes. My Volcanicus set needed sanding too.

I'm just gonna hold out hope for a new Hun-Grrr. Hands and feet aside, the kit is for him.

It might have nice parts on it but, theres still a junk figure under it.

    This. Very much so.
If someone would just create a better CW compatible Hun-Gurr (preferably not in leader class size, but that's just me) that looks the part in all three modes I'm confident most people who bought this kit wouldn't give it another look.

My Superion Kit was flawless. Not issues other than a moment of thought trying to attach the chest. Everything on mine fit like a champ.

From the waist up I'm pretty happy with what this kit does. Being able to fold the new head back into the existing chest cavity is a plus, even if there's the slightest of gaps.

Tightening the screw on feet helped a little, but some future or glue-coating will be needed. Without the dragon heads attached, I've had much better luck keeping the thigh pieces attached.

I would be careful about tightening the ankles. I gave mine some superglue to tighten them and started to see stress marks on the hinge posts. I think that a major factor in the ankles being wobbly is the soft plastic that has been used. I don't think that they can be made tight enough without stressing and eventually breaking the joint.

The PE feet use a much harder plastic and have a simple ball joint that is easy to tighten making them much more stable.

I do wish that TDW had used a less flexible plastic for the feet. I think it would have made the combined mode more stable and given a better first impression.

So, I'm just curious about your opinions here. If you ordered this Transform Dreamwave kit and it was shipped to you in addition with other things you ordered for the free shipping, but the kit was missing the bonus pieces...would you not think those pieces would be sent to you free of charge once the company got them in because they were initially supposed to be in the original shipment?
    Just asking...

Same thing with mine, i contacted BBTS about getting a replacement, they just said they would have replacement parts in two to three weekd, normally if something likes this happens they send out replacemet same day so i hope i get it taken care of because beside for that my set seems pretty good compaired to the problems other are having with it.

So finally got around to playing around with this set.

    Visually Abominus looks amazing.

    My issues:

    1. Thigh armor sucks. I'll eventually apply future or something but that's just annoying. Doesn't help that my Hun-Grrr's hips are really loose.

    2. Foot pegs were waaaay too big. Took a bit to shave it down.

We really need hip upgrades for Hun-grrr. That would help Abominus tons.

But again, looks fantastic in combined mode, which is the sole reason I bought this set so no regrets.

Got my Abominus and this set through Ebay for $100. Pretty incredible deal.

Over all, I LOVE it. The only other deluxe CW figures I have in my house are my son’s Aerialbots which are decent enough. The Terrorcons are pretty great for what they are and Im really happy w them individually.

This set does what I need it to do.

I shaved down the ankle posts so they fit and “Futured” the wrist “Tilts” and Thumbs. So those are fine now.

I actually prefer the Hip Covers on Hungrrr in both Bot and Dragon modes. Unfortunately Ive noticed clearance is too tight to super glue them in place, so after a number of Future coats, they work fine and are still removable.

As the Thigh Covers connect on the inside of the leg, Ill be supergluing the outside panel to the front cover and using Future to tightent the other connection.

The stability isnt great due to Hungrrr’s ratchets, so Ill be tightening those per the videos I found on Youtube. It seems fairly easy. Im concerned the knees also have too much play in them, so I may look to see if there is a fix on that as well if Im not satisfied after Hungrrr is straightened out.

Overall, a pretty good set if you’re willing to work with it. And at the price I paid, Im super happy with it.

I decided to pull it back down off of the shelf and tinker with it some more. If you're patient and do it in the right order (assemble the combiner, then add the thigh panels) he works better and is more cohesive. I guess I was a bit too rash in my initial assessment. Perhaps there was a form of "settling" like how cereal is when it's shipped. Perhaps the panels and everything just needed to settle and sit.

Yeah, I think I’m going to get rid of mine. This is my second experience with TDW’s kits and it’s another disappointment. The build quality definitely could’ve been better. The whole kit just feels like it’s being held together by saliva.

Finally got this stuff together on my Abominus (Due to Rippersnapper sort of just never being released out this way). The feet pegs were a problem and I just cannot get one of the dragon-heads fitted in, so at the moment Cutthroat's bird head is playing double duty as it

But hell, does the job once its all done. Just a ton of work that really should have been fixed up at the factory
