I've got my set all installed but the ratchets and my predaking looks to freaking awesome with the extra parts. Only thing i have to say is why couldn't Hasbro just do these parts to begin with. Then again predaking might cost more and we wouldn't have a company i guess like DNA making these parts to begin with then. Im gonna try and get the ratchets installed sometime this week or weekend. Only problem i had was the extra side pieces that go on the waist was really tough to get in. I had to take my pocket knife to bend open the side slots so that the pieces would slip in but that was all i had to deal with. My DNA set went together like a glove with no trouble other than what I'm speaking of on the bonus side pieces. I'm currently working on my devy set that i got the DNA set for some time ago and never installed so once all parts are installed my devy can stand next to my predaking.

Just be sure to double check the pins that support the small flaps on Mixmaster's new cab. On mine, one pin wasn't pushed all the way in, and almost fell out on me.

 

I just got my DNA DK-07 and though I haven't entirely photographed it, DNA usually makes really good quality stuff as I have most of their upgrade kits. However my DNA-07 came with stress marks on parts of it right out of the box and one of the wings of Divebomb has 2 stripped screws on one wing and it appears to be reversed.. The screws I can replace on my own with no issue, the over all upgrade is FANTASTIC.. The stress marks on that one wing with the stripped screws? I can live with it, maybe I got a bad copy.. Is it me or are the screws supposed to be all facing one side?

 

I wish the the Wei Jiang sword and hands looked like this, oh well

 

It’s well documented that the wings are symmetrical, because of this the screws face opposite sides of the figure

 

It came in today and it was all here.






There was just one spot gold slop on the wings and that’s solved with a little alcohol and some q-tips.

 

I'll contact TF Source.. I already have another trouble ticket with my Dream Wave Abominus upgrade kit.. The chest piece where the spikey chest wings.. one of the tabs snapped off very easily and I'm already waiting for a replacement for that..

 

Finally got mine, and everything is there and in great shape. No problems that I can see 

Now, if only someone on Shapeways would make a set of just the ab fillers, so I don’t have to buy a second set for my Weijiang version.

 

There is a pretty decent Waist filler for POP Predaking on Ebay by William's Comics, I own this set and it's 3D printed and it's great
It's called DSA KINGS GEAR Waist Filler for Transformers POTP Predaking.

It fills in the waist and fills in the hollow back, and doesn't really get in the way of the DNA Predaking upgrade

 

DNA wins, hands down, pun intended!  

Those squiggles are Cybertronian letters that spells "PREDAKING" I think. If you see them as alien letters in your minds eye, it might help you overcome your queasiness.

Got my kit today. All in all, quite happy with it. Got the 2 replacement ratchet pieces. Will be installing them later. Hands are the best part to me.
Only real issue on mine were the gold paint apps on the wings. Each feather seems to have different color levels. Light, dark, inbetween. May take a sharpie to them to get a more uniform color.
The sword was a little warped. Took a crap load of flash off of it as well.
WTH DNA? Your Devastator, Metro, Fort Max, & Grand Max sets were perfection.

 

I received my kit from BBTS, but it has some problems.
Like many others, I only received one ratchet. The ratchet thing alone I could deal with, but there are bigger problems.
One of the wings has a stress fracture and warping, and it has the same thumb on both hands. The wing and hand issues are really disappointing. Anyone else experience these issues?

DNA Design DK-07 Transformers POTP Predaking Upgrade Kit Issues

 

Overall my upgrade set feels pretty good though one wing is definitely less clicky than the other. I'm not usually a fan of buying upgrades for figures like this (never bought any PE sets or anything) but I gotta say I installed this one and added the sword and I am very very pleased with the results.

 

Thumbs are the same on mine. I don't think there's meant to be two. I think they cut costs there, as well.

They really kind of screwed us on this one.

If the second run corrects these fixes, I hope they'll do the honorable thing and correct those.

 

Yeah, they used the same parts for the hands as well as the wings. If you look at the hands, they are also reversible- there’s room for a thumb on both sides of both hands, so they only used one mold for virtually every piece in the set.

I guess I was lucky - I don’t have any stress fractures anywhere at all:/

Wow. I wouldn't mind the hands being the same parts if the thumbs were otherwise symmetrical, but this looks annoyingly bad.
