Does anyone know of any 3p companies that make parts for the Yamamoto 1/60th VF-1S? I love all the parts to convert him to Battloid on my last move.

Finally got the Yamato VF-22s and 4G secured and cannot wait to get them. It'll be nice to have some older pieces on display as well.

If you guys had an older VF-1J (I'm talking equivalent to Popy/Godaiken,) what would you recommend?

so far as that IMAI/BANDAI/REVELL/CEJI 1/72 FOCKER VF-1S VARIABLE TYPE/ROBOTECH CHANGERS VEXAR goes,
i managed to get by with a relative minimum of painting on my mid-90's BANDAI reissue of the same kit.
even so, while this is a very simple transformable model, it is by no means a multi-color molded,
    snap-fit-and-basically-done modern day GUNPLA. basic/intermediate old-fashioned plastic modelling skills are very much required;

    I’ve scores!

For VF-1s older than Yamato V2, my only recommendation is the original 1/55 Takatoku or Bandai reissues. Those things still hold up to this day as one of, if not THE greatest transforming toys of all time.

At those prices I rather get the YF-30 and the Armoured Pack for Chuck's 31e upon release date.

I'm asking my friends. One of them might be interested.

Are you only looking for a VF-1J? If that's the case then you're looking at Takatoku or a Bandai reissue 1/55. Some of the Joons KOs are okay but at that point you might as well spring for a reissue.

    Newer post.

From MW: Recently posted twitter page (@kurutuku131) of Arcadia's renewal Ivanoff 51 and Shin's PE VF-0d two days ago.

I believe Arcadia's renewal 51 is close to 40k yen..

    Edit: Corrected after Shin's reply.

That's the Premium VF-0D, the original has no weathering and has a darker blue.

Thanks Shin.. Looks like that I might pick up the PE VF-0d sometime. I'm glad I called off on getting Ivanoff's 51.

Much appreciated guys and yea, just the VF-1J. I don't do a ton of Popy/Godaiken styled stuff but would really like to have them to go with key characters in my display.

Received the DX RVF-171EX today. Sadly one of the elint array tips was bent all the way to one side out of the box, tried straightening it out but it wouldnt budge Ended up cutting it and sanded it to make a little round nub and painted it. I can probably come back to it later and fix it with a pin and putty but for now it doesnt bug me too much since its not too noticeable.

Speaking of Radome valks, is the Arcadia VE-1 re-issue really coming out next month? It feels so fast for Arcadia. I'm still waffling around if I need it or not.

if you work with water-based Acrylics such as TAMIYA COLOR, i recommend 91% Iso Alcohol from WAL MART to thin it/clean brushes.

the Alcohol will even help to clean dry-dirty/poorly kept/abused brushes to a degree.
results vary, but do try to clean up older brushes this way; you just might end up saving an otherwise great brush!!
