Here lies every studio series released so far, currently looking at book shelves to display them in the man cave. Anyone else have pics of their displays?

But a toy his size would need a whole new size class bigger than the likes of Unicron and Metroplex.. or not.

I thought of this before and it’s kinda crazy but Hasbro missed an opportunity to build-a-Driller. Since his body is made up of identical partitions it would’ve been possible to slip a piece of him into each Studio Series figure. How will this work?

Starting with SS01 Bumblebee who has the head, every following SS figure gets a piece of the Driller slipped into the box. Leaders get 4 tentacles to force y’all to buy them if you want a perfect driller :ev: . To give a rough draft of how this will work:
    27BA414E-199B-416B-8F80-BFD66FC7356B.jpeg
    This is the driller
    16B54E73-1A71-45B3-9B88-211AD26CFC1E.jpeg
This is what SS01’s piece will look like

This is what every SS figure comes with in addition to the figure and weapons
    17F9526D-3D02-46C3-A252-CBF50E60AAA6.jpeg
This is what Leaders will come with alongside the bodypiece

Here is a rough drawing of how the pieces look like:
    40A883D5-0911-4E38-A88A-C218B4BF59D0.jpeg
    1. The headpiece has a ball joint at the end which allows for articulation, the jaws don’t move to save money
    2. Each following piece comes with a socket on the top and another ball in the other. They also have 4 5mm ports to fit the tentacles.
    3. The tentacles are made of rubber like Crowbar’s dreads for movement, as making them individual pieces is too expensive and would inflate the Leader price point

At some point when SS ends the final figure will come with a modified version of the piece normal releases have with 4 ports for tentacles at the end instead of ball joints, as per this concept art:
    upload_2019-2-23_10-8-47.jpeg

To fit the package, they will replace the display and double as a stand like this for example:
    upload_2019-2-23_9-44-13.jpeg
Due to the size he’ll be slightly smaller scale than SS figures. A necessary compromise unless we want $30 Deluxes to be a thing, plus SS abandoned scale accuracy from day 1 with Leader Grimlock anyways..

In my opinion, this is better than Display stands because they’re much more worth keeping and unlike them you don’t need to be a completionist to feel satisfied. Miss one number and you’ll lose your mind, miss one piece and so what? They all look the same. You don’t even need to get a complete Driller as we never saw its full body anyway. Imo 10-15 pieces are enough for a casual SS collector since that’s how much we saw of the Driller for most of the film.

Of course, this most likely won’t happen, but with SS still running until 2020 and Hasbro’s dedication to making every on-screen character toys I hope they pick up on a solution for SS Driller some day.

i think he'll be slightly taller than optimus and be an action master with a driller beast display stand that would feature the head and posable tendrills(haha) as well. im thinking something like this: 4061293966_e1ed548656.jpg

This was before I moved to a bigger shelf due to more figures and not enough space.

Nice stuff, I threw out all my boxes recently and don’t regret it tbh. They look cool but I don’t have space for them, let alone my figures.

hasbro needs to change the plastic it's solid but it's not meant for joints, metal pins or the not the plastic expands way to much compared to others. they should use whatever plastic siege uses

    First, some Throwbacks!
Recently got these two at my Local Vintage Stock, and I already love them. They're great, and they're fun, and I kinda miss the 2009 bot designs... heres hoping they show up in Studio Series.
    IMG_20190222_223030097.jpg

Next comes actual Studio Series stuff!
    IMG_20190222_223113586.jpg

3/5 of the OG Autobot cast, but I was a little off put by SS04 Ratchet, so I thought I'd wait, and I'm pretty glad I did! SS16 Ratchet is much better in my opinion, and has better paint apps, even if he isn't MV 1.

    IMG_20190222_223402775.jpg IMG_20190222_223443332.jpg

Ratchet has great posability, passable paint applications, a cool accessory, and a fun and amazing transformation.
I really have fun with him, and his Back Kibble isn't that jarring. I mean, it ain't pretty, but it's nowhere near as bad as other figures.

    IMG_20190222_223307238.jpg IMG_20190222_223337733.jpg
Ironhide is AWESOME. There are no words I can use to describe how AMAZING this figure is. As much as his Car scale bothers me, his middle section doesn't like to tab in, and his posability ain't all too great, his Robot scale is SPOT ON, and he is absolutely fun to mess around with! I'm glad I got him, and I'm so pumped to see what his DOTM iteration will do.

IMG_20190222_223138089.jpg IMG_20190222_223244216.jpg Before I say anything about SS10 Jazz, can I first just mention HOW FREAKING SMALL HE IS. He's on scale with a LEGENDS figure. THAT'S TINY FOR A DELUXE CLASS.

That aside, Jazz is awesome! Not only is his Robot mode scale spot on, his car mode scale is spot on, and his POSABILITY. DEAR MARY MOTHER OF JOSEPH HIS POSABILITY!!! Yeah, he doesn't have a waist or wrist swivel, but DAAAAMN an Ankle pivot on a DELUXE figure no less?! Color me impressed, Jazz is AWESOME!!! He can even pull a Handstand! Which is something only the HUMAN ALLIANCE figure can do! And maybe the MPM figure, but STILL DAMN I LOVE JAZZ!!!

Hoping to finish off my Movie cast with Clunker Bee and SS32 Optimus, but heres crossing my fingers they release a 2007 Camaro Concept ver. of Bumblebee for the Studio Series line soon...

Anyways, that's all the Movie I have for now. Get the Studio Series line if you have the money, they're awesome figures!!!

After holding on to Brawl in his package for almost a year, I finally opened him up along with my new Studio Series Bonecrusher. I am loving my new Decepticons Bebop and Rocksteady.
