Hmm, fair point. I never owned the guy and wasn’t aware of the gimmick, but that kind of thing would definitely take a good chunk of the budget that could’ve gone to the plastic.

He's not on sale I was saying I was going to wait for him to drop below 50 but decided to buy him at full price with BBTS instead.

There's where Payload's budget and (like half) plastic went. His spring loaded claw gimmick.

So, I got bored at work two days ago and decided to go through all the movies and list every figure that hasn't gotten a Studio Series figure and try and determine what size class they would be.

Note that I am not including anything already confirmed OR anything that we know we are getting but hasn't had full details revealed (namely the Constructicons)

    Transformers 2007

-Frenzy: Will need to be a packed in, non-transforming figure I believe. Possibly with the next on the list...

-Megatron (Alien craft form): Voyager size. I still stand that the DOTM Megatron should NEVER have been Leader Class and is far too big for the character. Voyager would work perfectly.

-Optimus (Protoform): I doubt we'd see it but would be Voyager size. If it were to happen I'd say it would be an exclusive.

-Ironhide (Protoform): Same as optimus only large Deluxe size (as like with DOTM Megatron Ironhide should NEVER have been a voyager)

    Revenge of the Fallen

    - The Fallen: Voyager or Leader. Use the Cyro Fallen mold as an example, give us the removable face and staff.

-Soundwave (Satellite Form): Deluxe size. Most satellites are the size of an average truck to a lawn mower but let's go with larger over smaller for Soundwave. Robot mode would be based on concept art.

    -Ravage: Pack-in with Soundwave

-Reedman: Never going to happen. Next.

    -The Doctor: ...next!

-Grindor: Repaint of the Blackout mold. Leader class.

    -Sideways: Deluxe, duh.

-Skids and Mudflap (Ice Cream Truck Form): Large Deluxe or small voyager. The deluxe from the ROTF line is still a great toy and I use it as my Skids and Mudflap as yes, they are tiny, but look good next to Jazz and BB Movie Bee. But a bit larger of an ice cream truck that turns into two robots roughly the size of BB Movie Bee with more paint aps would be great.

    -Skids (Solo Car Form): Deluxe

    -Mudflap (Solo Car Form): Deluxe

-Wheelie: Too small, never going to happen, though if it did make him a pack-in.

-Arcee: So I had an idea last year to do all three of the motorcycles as a single voyager set, with the three cycles being smaller than even Jazz and the set includes stands for them all. MAYBE do the combining gimmick from the concept art or, better yet, create a new combined form. Would be the best way to do it as I doubt Hasbro would want create a Commander Studio Series size class just for these three. The only other way would be an exclusive set.

    -Chromia: See Arcee

    -Elita-One: See Arcee

    -Jolt: Deluxe. Include whips.

    Dark of the Moon

-Sentinel Prime: Voyager. Leader would be FAR too big (though i do fear we will get him as Leader thanks to Jetwing and oversized DOTM Megs and NO I'm not letting it go!). Include sword, shield, and rust gun.

-Ironhide (Standoff Form/Dual Wielding Gun Form): Rerelease of the SS Voyager but with his guns from the Mexican Standoff.

    -Dino: Deluxe.

    -Que/Wheeljack: Deluxe

    -Roadbuster: Deluxe

    -Topspin: Deluxe

    -Leadfoot: Deluxe

    -Brains: Never going to happen.

-Shockwave: I would prefer voyager but a smaller Leader that is in line with Blackout would work.

    -Soundwave (Car Form): Deluxe

    -Laserbeak: Pack in with Soundwave.

    Age of Extinction

-Hound (Closed truck bed form): Just remold the The Last Knight figure to have a closed back that turns into a shield or something like the Wu kit.

    -Scorn: Leader

    -Slug: Leader

    -Strafe: Leader

    -Galvatron: Voyager

-Steeljaws: Not going to happen only because it wouldn't work as a deluxe (must be smaller) and would need to be a pack in and there are no good figures to pack him with. Maybe if we got a Lockdown exclusive.

    The Last Knight

-Infernacons: Honestly would work best as a Voyager combiner that is an exclusive set

    -Hot Rod (Modern Form): Deluxe

    -Hot Rod (Citroen form): Deluxe

    -Hot Rod (WWII Form): Deluxe

    -Daytrader: Voyager to Leader class.

    -Bulldog: Voyager

-Mohawk: Again, they'd need to make a Commander Size class just for this guy.

-Trench: Deluxe repaint of whichever Constructicon he is a repaint of.

    -Lieutenant: Deluxe to Voyager

-Canopy: Voyager to Leader but please don't ever make him. He would be a waste.

    The Bumblebee Movie

    -Blitzwing: Voyager

    -Cliffjumper: Deluxe

    -Ratchet (Reboot Form): Deluxe

    -Arcee (Reboot Form): Small deluxe

    -Wheeljack (Reboot form): Deluxe

    -Brawn (Reboot form): Deluxe

    -Ironhide (Reboot Form): Deluxe

    -Soundwave (Reboot Form): Voyager

    -Ravage (Reboot Form): Pack in

    -Shockwave (Reboot Form): Voyager

-Starscream (Reboot form): Voyager, repaint of Blitzwing.

    -Thundercracker: Voyager, repaint of Blitzwing.

    -Skywarp: Voyager, repaint of Blitzwing.

    -Dirge: Voyager, repaint of Blitzwing.

    -Bumblebee (Cybertronian form): Deluxe

    -Bumblebee (Army Jeep Form): Deluxe

    Other

-2007 Arcee (Concept Art Version): The ONLY reason I include her is that she almost made it into the movie, had concept art, AND a toy. But we once more run into the problem all the motorcycles have: can't be deluxe or bigger.

I transformed the backpack differently trying to condense it better.
    Opinions?

    @Mr. Chaos really good list.

    A few additions:
    - Several Bumblebees as he gets a new vehicle every movie. The TLK Deluxe is probably good as is but needs to be shrunken a little.
    - DOTM Hatchet to complete the Dreads.
    - There are a couple of TLK / AOE line characters that are really good but the existing figures are probably a tad too out of scale with Studio Series, like Crosshairs.

Also, I think 07 Megatron, Sentinel, and Shockwave should all be Leaders. DOTM Megatron did a good job of taking a massive truck and getting a robot mode the same height as the ROTF Voyager. Sentinel would probably require the same thing.

I think they could get away with Voyagers for Slug and Strafe but not Scorn. But Scorn they could easily upscale the TLK Voyager.

So I just opened Bonecrusher, he's fun, strange, annoying at times but overall I like him.

    Pros:
    - Unique robot mode with interesting articulation (I got him to stand on one claw! Kinda like a handstand!)
    - Nice alt mode
    - Very accurate to the CGI model

    Cons:
    - In the alt mode, the arms don't tab together leaving an annoying gap in the middle.
    - The arms can be slightly annoying while posing him, and the head, his head can't move up and down, only side to side. That's a pain.

Great figure, he does need many improvements however. I recommend him.

    @Mr. Chaos
nice list but there are a vew buts for me..
What scale are you basing this on?
Just your feelings or actual data?

The Icecream skidsflap was based on a VW beetle so he should be a small deluxe the size of either Mudflap OR skids..
It was a bit of a mass shifter they upgraded to 2 cars.
They are small bots but ill give them the deluxe cash if they scale them right..

I do like your list trough.. good job

I would have liked one triple-changing version each of both Dropkick and Shatter. I could have lived with the compromises because I would have appreciated the effort. Since that didn't happen, though, I'm glad for both existing so people have options. I fully expect, and indeed, hope that Shatter gets a figure of her jet mode.
