Seeing all these pictures make me want to go over to Hasbro Pulse and see if he's still in stock. I don't necessarily care about the combination feature but that robot mode looks tons better than the ROTF version. I'm really loving the face scuplt on the SS version. I never really liked the ROTF's face. He looked like an evil Bozo the Clown. What is really selling me on this though is how the jet mode seems to tab together so much better than his ROTF counterpart. The one thing I can't really see past is the whisker kibble underneath, but it's probably something I could get used to as time goes on.

Is there a place to store the Prime chest piece on Jetfire when he's not combined?

Yeah I'm struggling with this part as well. No amount of force seems to be able to get those pegs to snap in so that the nacelle forms up nice and straight.

I was too the first few times.

It's one of those things where a mircomovement off and nothing will click or tab in.

As someone who once couldn't, but now could, just make sure you have everything SPOT on when doing the legs.

This guy is perfection in bot mode to the point I can forgive having to view his SR-71 only being viewable from the top. I cannot remember another bot mode that has 0 kibble, isn’t hollow and only his head/neck area is faked.

Any word on 3rd party hands for Jetfire?

Aren't you Canadian? Jetfire and Megatron are currently in stock at EB Games. They only carry one or the other though.

So I just got these guys from Hasbro and combined them. So cool! I made the gun and, sure enough, it’s too big to carry. But I thought “I’ll just use a figure stand to support it.”

And then I had a thought. And I looked. Look at what is behind his head! 4A20F1EC-B407-41E7-9D42-3BD5A41CCF8A.jpeg There is no way this is accidental. 696010AC-6789-4F40-ACD4-BEA252BB32F5.jpeg
If this has already been pointed out, my apologies. I’ve been following this thread and I hadn’t seen it mentioned. So it was a big revelation for me.

Not sure I’ve got the gun right but I’m sure I’ll figure it out.

The more I play with this guy, the more I appreciate the little details. For instance, the chest straps for combined mode? Actually are used to cover the sides of the exposed engines in jet mode. This figure would have been perfect if:

    - They could have found a way to put the jet fins on his back.
    - The back fins could split into more segments.
    - The cockpit shoulder pads in the combined mode were properly oriented.
