I like your shelving unit- everything looks safe and neatly tucked away.

 

I meant to ask - what lights are you using and how do they sit behind the doors? A photo would be cool. I want to do something similar so the LEDs face from the front rather than from the top which always makes a display look too 'shadowed'.

 

The cabinets are face framed with the doors hung on those frames. I used led strip lighting that has adhesive backing adhering to the backs of the frames so they light from the front to the back with out seeing leds themselves. I'll take a quick pic later today.

 

One of the best display I've seen, clean and not overcrowded! That would be my goal eventually, at least with at least the season 1 cast! Yours is looking so great, I wish I had the space right now to do that!

 

You should be proud, sir. A triumph.  

All it needs now is a decent MP-Cliffjumper, a better MP Astrotrain in bot mode to go with that shuttle alt, and a more 'toon accurate Perceptor than Tesla to stand proudly with the '86 movie bots without looking like Billy no mates.  

 

Here is that pic of the lighting in the back of the cabinet frames. The LED strip fire back into the rear to avoid shadowing.

Thanks so much. Just amazing to think we have all of these characters now...just updated the display with my new "Cliffjumper" and a real set of seekers. I remember how I was in awe when takara came out with the original seeker mold but that was over 10 years ago. These new molds from Maketoys now blows them away and I think make good tradeoffs between their bot and alt modes.

 

Nice setup mate. Plenty of inspiration there!

 

This helps me see what I've got left to collect for my Ark crew. Very nice collection!  

 

Still my fave MP display on here by a mile. Gorgeous modern-looking cabinets and arrangement is so 'clean'.

That's a really clean setup, I need to make more money or leave California so I can get enough space for custom cabinets like you. Til then I am stuck with clustered Detolfs.
