I am thinking of having mp44 en 45 shipped together to safe a bit on shipping, but I am afraid of seeing the total. Either way, together with those Siege heavy hitters that's going to be camping holidays for me.

First run will always have some issues here and there. It's pretty much par for the course when it comes to TT MPs.

Beast Wars Megatron will be my guage as to whether or not I keep my pre order for Prime. If the quality is lacking on him, I will cancel this. I willing to spend the $475 Canadian, but Takara has to step up their game if they want my money.

That is a good way of doing things. Unfortunately I can only afford MP44 and I am not really interested by BW Megatron. That said I will have a look once it is released to see how people are welcoming it.

Why is MP-44 Optimus too expensive?

 

Well, aside from being much larger than the new bumblebee, more parts, more paint, more accessories, and more than likely more complex.. he's actually not that much more, compared to MP10 when he was originally released; as long as you got him on pre-order from Amazon Japan.

 

TT’s been in the habit of doing re-issues. I’ve noticed that the Diaclone MPs haven’t been re-issued but the main line has seen a re-issue of every bot. Besides Hot Rod but that only due to AKOM Hot Rod. Maybe Red Alert but he was the first candidate for the + line.

 

Ya'll's suggestion of "saving" for this via Amazon JP gift cards incrementally was a good one. I've done so little by little. Between this and MP-45, I only have 8,000 Yen to go until they're paid for. Looks like I'll be getting him after all.  

 

It's a great system that more shops should take advantage of. No idea if it's that complicated to set up a gift voucher system, but it would definitely be worth it.

Having said all that I still have to take advantage of doing this for MP-44 and now MP-45

Can someone explain to me the point of paying incrementally via Amazon Japan gift cards? Is there an advantage over just saving regularly, and paying at the end?

 

Your funds are locked in at Amazon Japan so you can't spend them on something else
