Thor. Damn happy to have this figure. It wasn't worth 100 dollars, but it was worth it. Accessories are a MAJOR disappointment, but what's there is great, and that's basically the hands, no extra heads, and Stormbreaker. But.... it's better than Ragnarok Thor. The cloth cape (no wire) is a bonus, honestly if it had a plastic cape I'd be alot let satisfied. All complaints aside, it's a 8/10 for me, the negatives outweighed by how well what's there is done. 20190219_225904.jpg 20190219_225829.jpg 20190219_225933.jpg

I’m so glad someone got in this thread got this guy! Can you take some pics with some marvel legends figures when you get a chance? I’m sure this Thor will be too short, but I just want to check; maybe it could work

If you don't need him to be clearly bigger like the legends one, I think he works pretty well. The second pic is for reference, he's about the same height as Marvel Legends 10 year Cap. Of course, you could pull the leg joints down to give him more height.

Thanks! That actually doesn’t work as bad as I thought. Chris Hemsworth is only slightly taller than RDJ and Chris Evans anyway I think, the Marvel Legends Thors usually exaggerate the height difference. Kinda makes sense for a god to be taller, but based on the actual people the SHF seems more accurate.

My other option was to get the Legends IW Thor and swap its head with the Ragnarok version you have in your picture. The skin tones might be slightly off but not too much. Since I own no version of Thor, do you personally think one option is better than the other? I don’t necessarily want to pay $130 for the SHF but I will if it’s really is more satisfying as a figure

Thats what I did. I took my IW Legends Thor and switched the head with the one that came packed with Valkirye and I even changed the hands to he could hold the Stormbreaker better and coudnt be happier with the result.

Holy shit I didn’t know Dave Bautista was that tall! Haha but based on that size chart, I guess the difference is noticeable

Would you mind PMing me a picture when you get a chance? I don’t want to derail the thread too much but I am interested in what that looks like.

You could always have Thor on a stand in the air when posing him on the shelf. It'll be harder to notice size difference. ;)

Fantastic write up and really nice shots, thanks Ceasar. Really looking forward to having him in hand soon. Think I might wire the Cape.

I honestly would go the Legends and head swap route. I love the figure , but it doesnt do anything fantastically better than legends figure, even as far as posability. I honestly wish the Legends figure was a more polished version, but PERSONALLY I like how he's clearly bigger than everyone not named Hulk.

The SHF is great, I just dont think its definitively better other than build and sculpt. Call it a disposable income luxury.

Yea it would be easy. It's really like 2 capes, where it would be an easy job.

Thanks for your honesty, that helps me make my decision. Let’s hope there’s an even better legends Thor for Endgame! And a better SHF for that matter, if they can do it

When thinking about it, I wonder if Figuarts purposely made Thor an exclusive so they could see the reactions to the mold. Then they could remold it a bit to fix any issues, and release it to the public for Endgame.

Just picked up the Biker Scout with Speeder from BBTS....I am utterly in love with this thing! I have never been this amazed by a fig.

Mate. Now that you say it like that, it's so patently obvious I wonder why it didn't occur to me before. Definitely could operate like a beta test. Suspect we'll get a Quantum suit variant at least.

Not OP but I agree. At this point I’m pretty much waiting for all the Endgame figure reveals from every company before I jump on them

Based on infinity war & how everything was released, I wouldn't be surprised to see endgame figures until after the movie release so more accuracy is there.

It’ll definitely be interesting to see how not only tamashii, but all the companies handle Endgame products this year. When did we first see IW reveals? I don’t remember. I’m betting we get nothing from SHF or even Hasbro until after Captain Marvel is out at the very least. So maybe around mid March or early April?
