If you look at the photos in the background, his vehicle mode is pretty small, he just all opens up.

 

It’s not like SS has templates to use anyways. Cyberverse died out since AOE and got replaced by One Steps, which is unfortunate tbh since I liked how intricate they were for their size and time.

 

Well SS is about all the live-action movies, so they could have hypothetically done it with Legends Devastator or any other pre-AoE figures. That'd be god-awful though, glad that idea died after a single wave.

But yeah the end of Legends scale figures is almost as bad a crime as the death of the Scout Class. Almost.

And no, the new Legends class is not a worthy successor.

 

That OP with weapon platform trailer is literally a figure dream come true for me. If there's one thing I'd complain about it's that they're sticking with "closed fists"; then again, I totally get it and I'm all in for 5mm compatibility, but I also loved the "open hands" thing they had going on with some Generations figures back in the day. I just think it would look pretty cool with that Prime. Anyway, I'm excited! Unfortunately it'll take long enough for me to be able to afford these recent TF needs properly (ah, importing...) but yeah, I'm definitely not gonna miss that.

 

This going to be interesting, I can\'t wait to get Jetwing Optimus Prime, Longhaul Rotf) Hightower and more when they comes out.  I was thinking we discussed some ideas for future wave of the Studio Series.

That DOTM Optius Prime is really nice. I will probably not get it but if I could, I definitely would. Seems the best mold yet with the option for wings to recreate that scene from the third movie.

 

If Hasbro can accommodate all those characters, I'd say studio series needs to last till 2021 or 2022.

I'm surprised Hightower is that big.

It took me a while, but I also thought Hightower is what you get when you cross BW Megatron with BW Scorponok. I know, lame.

Dude, Hasbro didn't know SS would catch on like it has. Just because a figure looks good on paper doesn't mean something stupid can't happen to the final release and tank the line. We all thought MPM4 would replace the Leader Prime, and the QC ticked off enough people that some would rather buy the knock-off versions. Jetfire was probably stuck in the concept stage until HasTak knew they struck gold, meaning the first SS Prime was just that: a standalone Prime. Once the line took off, risks could be taken.

Also, not everyone can just buy whatever they want, even if they budget- life happens. I got stuck paying an extra $400 last month in car repairs. Different versions give more options to customers.

 

Just buy this one and leader jetfire....? Then you’ll quite literally have a prime that works with every display, interchangeable abs and all.

Apologies if this has been brought up already but I noticed TFsource put up new pictures of SS44 DOTM Optimus Prime (but not on their website?) on their instagram feed, I hadn't seen the picture of the full alt mode and trailer before. I had also wondered how they were going to fit all of that in a leader size box

 

I hope this gets an OSKO with a trailer that will for MPM Optimus...
