It’s gonna be weird having an Astrotrain that’s a leader size. As a long time fan I never thought Hasbro would do this but I am very interested to see how it turns out.

The Apeface and Barricade also sound super awesome.

 

Commander class for Scorponok is way too small, he would be staring Fort Max in the crotch.
Titan class is the only way to go for Scorponok and releasing Fast track as a weaponiser would mean neither of their budgets suffered.

If they retooled TLK Barricade into anything in generations I think we’d have a revolt on our hands. Not because that’s a bad figure, but because the fandom. Neat idea tho. It’s a figure I always had an eye on as well, but seemed way too small once I seen it in stores. Then studio series came along and wow am I used to that size now!

 

Ok so... I was comparing a potential new Scorponok to the Titan Max. To be Marvel sized, Commander would be fine.

However....



Scorponok should be probably half way between Chromedome and Max.. so Leader would be best. Or a shorter commander with lots of bulk. And Fasttrack.

Hopefully righting some of the wrongs of Titans Return, making characters such as Astrotrain bloody headmasters.  

May get re-dos of Kup (from Ironhide), Blitzwing, Etc and some others.

Hopefully, as others have said, Snapdragon and Scorpy will follow Apeface - and maybe even a Black Zarak repaint?

 

Oh definitely. I’m down for as many ‘master’ characters as they can put in part 2 of Siege (if they carry on doing the Targetmasters in the Battlemaster range i’d say the ‘87 Autobot Targetmasters are as close to a shoo-in as possible), it’d be a great way to add those that were missed in Titans Return.

Now just throwing it out there... But Transformers: War for Cybertron Part II - ‘Rebirth’ does have a great ring to it  

 

I actually think Astrotrain will be a pretool of A/E/C Jetfire.

I agree that Apeface may have some shared engineering with Galvatron, but I don't think he will be a remold.

 

I'm excited about the prospect of Apeface. He was one of only 3 Headmasters I had as a kid.

I'm not sold on the idea of Astrotrain being Leader sized. Plus, I really like the old Henkei Astrotrain.

 

I think there is a lot of stock in people suggesting that Astrotrain and now Apeface are part of WFC Part 2. Given the timing of the releases (late nov/december, which was when W1 Siege started popping up), and the fact that the leaks from waaay back have been lining up to a T (with the exception of the commander class addition out of left field).

Though unprecedeneted, is it really that crazy to imagine Hasbro shipping a case with mixed sublines? (E.g, WFC:2 Astrotrain and a repacked WFC:S Magnus?)

 

I really hope the train mode delivers especially. He’s like the last of the trainformers.

 

Kinda, yeah: retailers don't want to stock old product when a new line is out. They want to clearance all the old product and then put the new line in that spot on the shelf.

 

Astrotrain may be a Leader, but as Siege has unified scale, he won't be Leader"-sized". =D He'll be shorter than Optimus and Megatron, but probably a lot bulkier, and will probably "Shockwave" up with accessories to bulk him up in alt modes so he'll actually be larger in those modes.

 

He was the first of the trainformers actually. We've gotten quite a few of them since Astrotrain.

 

Oh man. I hope the ape face is true. Especially if it means we also get snapdragon.

Snapdragon is probably still my favorite G1 figure. So if they remake him and do it right... he’ll ya I’ll be excited

 

Isn't this just the fake leak from 4chan that some idiot decided to run with?
I find this hard to believe this website didn't just see that leak, decide it was real, and add a listing pre-emptively.

Really hoping this leads to completing the rest of the Headmasters and Targetmasters. Hope they give info soon since I’ve been close to pulling the trigger on the kfc versions of Apeface and Snapdragon several times lately...

 

I guess I'm the only one that saw the name Barricade and thought Deluxe Insecticons and that maybe we'd finally get a Venom figure  

Hopefully these rumours are true. I'd really love a modern Apeface, which hopefully leads the way for Snapdragon, which in turn leads the way for Doubledealer, which in turn Slapdash, in turn Sureshot and Autobot Targetmasters.... You get the picture.

As for the Astrotrain rumour, I'd gladly take a new non-Headmaster Astro. Happily take a Blitzwing too. That said, I would prefer some of the characters that haven't been updated yet.
