Barricade might be neat

 

While yes a late December release would technically be part 2 Siege could have been extended based on all the positive fan reaction and part 2 could possibly not be ready for release.

 

December 2019 is still 2019,the next part of WFC will be for market year 2020, 2020 starts officially in January 2020, yes we have typically received the following years figures in Nov-Dec of the previous year but those were in fact of next years line, just because the tentative release date says December, that doesn't mean its WFC part 2, it's still siege.

 

Barricade from Prowl would bum me out, a little. I say this only because I have always wanted Hasbro to retool TLK Deluxe Barricade into IDW Prowl. A new head, new hands and a new paint job would have pretty much done the trick. As someone who doesn't collect movie toys, that TLK Barricade always caught my eye. Anyway, the rest of this sounds awesome. I assume Astrotrain will be a voyager with add-on parts that hide his locomotive mode. We shall see.

 

Nice, we might be getting a figure (I personally believe) we should've gotten in the Titans Return line. And more evidence of the Leader Astrotrain, yay!

 

I hope Astrotrain can fit Micromasters in shuttle mode. 

 

I pray Leader Astrotrain doesn't have as much of the molded detail as the rest of the line. And has a train mode more akin to a locomotive.
I wasn't too impressed with POTP Astrotrain, so I'll gladly take a leader if it meets my needs.

if we’re getting barricade who is most likely a repaint/retool of prowl then the repaint/retool of ironhide would be included surely

Based on previous comments by Hasbro, he should be TR compatible. I do wonder if he will maintain the dual headmaster gimmick or just be a plain headmaster.

 

I would think he would be a TM too, but honestly I would be okay with his partner just being the robot head, and not the gorilla one, only because I thought it looked ugly on the G1 toy, so I don't know how it would look in modern times. If they can pull it off, then by all means, go ahead and do it.  

 

I am happy they got delayed to Siege line, I hope it means they will be better quality and have wrist swivels (though I fear they may have too much greeble and "battle damage" paint).

 

I will be curious whether Apeface will be a remold of TR Galvatron - that mold I always felt was made with 2 characters in mind, like Alpha Trion.
Astrotrain is a strange choice. We just had one a few years ago that does both modes serviceably. And the theme of this series is Cybertronian alt modes - how will that train and space shuttle modes look? Still, interesting to know that this means not all Leaders will have the armor gimmick. Unless Astrotrain is some weird remold of Shockwave?

Looking forward to more Headmasters too. And hopefully they will go for the marvel/sunbow models for reference, like the Decepticon targetmasters in TR. We got the toy heads as titan masters already anyhow

Thats how I feel too. Commander class would be too big. I want a titan class first anyhow  

 

Superlink Megatron or Machinima Megatronus would make more sense.

Honestly, I can easier see Snapdragon as POTP Grimlock heavily retooled, combiner functionality taken out, TM functionality added, new arms/dino-legs and some new sculpted detail but “shared engineering”.
