Except the proportions on the JJ are nowhere near as wonky as the CW. Maybe I inferred too much, but saying anyone with eyes can see it's no good can be pretty insulting.

And for the record, I have the Zeta Superion as well.

 

Anyone know if Toyworld mixmaster connects to zeta Kronos as a leg.

 

Ultimately I think Jet Commander works best as a CHUG figure, but if you have the oversized Feral Rex or Warbotron, or Has/Tak Devvy or Predaking, as your MP Decepticon combiners then it scales perfectly. The jets are actually more accurate to their 'actual' altmodes (just like the robots) than the Combiner Wars toys; it's a misnomer to call it an upscaled KO, since all the tooling is completely original and only the engineering is copied (and even that is extensively modified and improved). The only things I actively dislike about the combined mode are Silverbolt's fists hanging out behind the thighs, and the fact that reversing the jets to get the show-accurate leg configuration makes the knees almost immobile.

But it's not anywhere in the ballpark of the Zeta combiners. If you have Constructor and/or Armageddon on your 'cons, Jet Commander ain't gonna cut it.

When it comes to robot modes, the Jet Commander 'bots just have too many hollow parts to work with MP figures. They are a decent size, though. I guess if you wanted to, you could put them in the back of a display and they'd fit in, but upon even cursory inspection they don't match the MP aesthetic as robots.

The jet modes are actually quite decent but nowhere near the quality of Zeta's jets.

 

I like to go toy inspired but I do not always go full toy. But I put the autobot logo in the middle of chest on my g1 Silverbolt.

 

Sadly not. Completely different connections on the legs. All the arms are interchangeable though.

 

Finallyy Catapult is arrived in Italy, it's in my buying group leader home. Downthrust should arrive, more or less, at the end of this month. My friend will ship them to me together, so in a couple of weeks my Superion will be complete. I have still do decide if display my Aerealbots in combined or alt mode, but due to space issues I think I will go for the first one (5 planes take more space than Superion in my shelves).

Does the cartoon accurate head sculpt come with the individual released Aerialbots? Or just the box set?

 

Downthrust and Catapult came with cartoon heads installed from the factory and each came with a replacement cartoon head for first two limb-bots. So far there has been no mention of a box set.

 

Wonder how many pieces they'd come in, like Fans Toys Omega 2 pieces, I'm thinking 4-6 sets, unless it comes in 1 box.. Imagine the shipping cost..

 

Nice. I had a closer look at pics of JJ Jet Commander and I think they'll make passable G1 alt modes, especially with a new coat of glossy paint and some added detailing. I can pick up a set for US$60 from TaoBao so for that price, it's definitely worth tossing the dice. (not my pic)

No interest in them for combined or bot because I have Zeta and FT for that.

Still can't find any legit listings for 4 and 5 of Zeta's set on TaoBao.

 

I pre ordered the last two, end of the month my seller said. Funny thing is very few sellers have Zeta pre orders and those that do are Beijing based. Just wait a week or so and they'll all start to hit (if the timing is correct).

TCP's website says they're not expecting the last two limbs until 3/19.

 

That means March of 2019 not March 19th. But actually they will be here next week it looks like
