They already made Fallout Shelter though, and Bethesda shut down the Westworld mobile game that was judged "too similar" so obviously they're still interested in keeping Shelter going most likely for THOSE microtransactions as well.
Polish online retailer was giving away copies of Fallout 76 for free with $5 PS4 thumbsticks - VG247 Also, some guy on reddit got banned for having a crap ton of ammo, etc after playing for 900 hours. "76 is all I enjoy in my life right now..." Poor guy.
900 hours... Bethesda did this guy a favor. He needs a break from it. I have 800 hours in Fallout 4. After owning it for 2 years... Fallout 76, has only been out since November. It's only been out for 99 days. That's like 38 days of his life has been doing nothing but playing Fallout 76... 38 days out of 99 days. I think the guy needs to get his account unbanned, but at the same time, the guy needs serious help too.
What kind of work injury makes it where the only thing you can play is a game that's barely playable as is? Doing the math, in order to do approx. 900 hours in 99 days, that would equate to slightly under 3 hours (2.69 to be exact but I'm rounding up) per day. All I can say is this guy must really like Fallout if he's stuck through it this long to the point he makes the main character of Overlord look like an underachiever in hardcore video gaming. I shudder to think of what his bank statements look like if he was foolish enough to engage in microtransactions...
3 hours a day, wandering around a very empty wasteland, looking for something to do... anything... anything at all. Wow, yet somehow he actually found it more enjoyable then his real life. That is where the part comes in, where he clearly needs help. Especially in a game that has a shit ton of microtransactions.
97 days = 2,328 hours. Hes spent 900+ of those on a single account. He spent roughly 9-10 hours a day on the game.
Does he just have one character? Or does he have 8? That's the true question. Then, he may have even bigger problems. If he's spent 900+ hours in 99 days, and they're mostly AFK, then perhaps he needs to get that time jump he keeps having, checked out by a doctor.
This is the future of video games people. People spending their lives in empty games, and becoming so addicted that they spend all their real money on microtransaction cosmetics.
