Even now people who "just take off their clothes" are still looked down on so posing for Playboy didn't really do her any favors and there was a time when "TV stars" were looked down on because TV wasn't considered more then trash compared to theater actors. That's ALWAYS how "new media" starts out, looked down on for "doing nothing."

Broadside, too (although I'd rather have a Titan class Skylynx), Lugnut would be another good choice too as well as Scorponoks

I dunno if I'd measure things in seasons as much as just raw episode count. Each UT series 52 episodes each which is a pretty fair amount I'd say especially if you consider all of that cumulatively. Per series it's not as Prime or RID but it's in the upper half of episode counts.

52 Episodes but how many of them are actually worth watching? I'd rather watch a 13 episode season of a show as well done as Beast Wars or Prime then I would 52 episodes of a show as phoned in like Armada/Energon/Sybertron was.

I could debate how much of each was worth watching and the various merits (except for Energon; I'll generally agree that one was awful though there were things I enjoyed) but all of that is besides the point. And the point I was making was whether or not how many seasons of a show is a good measure of it's run.
For the part of the Unicron Trilogy each series was probably slated for a set episode count before hand (I don't know much of the production details but that's how it seemed) and it's clear they felt it was worth continuing given that for all the issues Armada had they still made two more series with the same length which is like giving it more seasons in that it extends the run in some ways but is also different (and without getting into questions of Cybertron's continuity the original intent was a sequel to Energon/Superlink so the point stands).

So, with Armada Prime being nowhere to be seen at Toy Fair - is it safe t say that he's a Takara exclusive as well? Probably sold through TT Mall?

We knew Takara could still do exclusives like this, but an all new mold? Damn.

Not necessarily. If the figure's in early development, with the shows being so close together, it's possible that there just wasn't any opportunity to ship Hasbro the prototype for NYTF.

Unless there's something truly exceptional about the figure that defies price points somehow, it looks like a mass-market style figure that Hasbro could easily fit into their release plan.

I doubt it. I think he will be part of the 35th anniversary line that they did not show much of. it was a resin prototype so it probably was not ready yet. you speak Japanese? there was a video of the event uploaded to youtube where some one asked about prime being in siege and the response was no along with loud Japanese (I think it was Japanese) making the conversation harder to hear.

I don’t know, it's weird how everything Siege is revealed by Hasbro first but Armada Prime comes out of nowhere and then isn’t at Toy Fair either. And he stands next to Star Convoy too - I don’t know, I think he will be exclusive. If they can release him worldwide then that’s even better, but for some reason I think Takara wants to bring their own presents to the party.

Haven’t seen that. He could be in that line but in that case Hasbro should’ve had him first - instead of just repaints.

Time will tell I guess. I'm happy waiting; I can’t stop drooling about Jetfire at the moment anyways :lol

both star convoy and armada prime had only one label on them and that's 35. so I think both of them will be in that line but time will tell indeed.

Someone asked the Hasbro team about Armada Prime in this video. It’s near the end about the 12 minute mark. They didn’t have much to comment on, but seems that it is a Takara initiated project but could see a US release.

they are being vague I think they will announce something about it sometime before the summer. but I think it will get a us release or at least be easier to get in the west than others have been if they are telling the truth about them listening to fan reaction. A primal vehicle is interesting.

Yeah, them talking in the video sounds to me like it's Takara's thing and Hasbro will release it if they want to.

I heavily doubt they would say things like this if he was part of Siege, or any of their offerings for the anniversary. When it comes to Siege unity between Hasbro and Takara is obvious but the way they talk about "Takara's doing it" sounds like it's something Takara came up with on their own, will release first and then maybe Hasbro will bring it over.

Honestly, the Armada Prime prototype looks 100% Takara to me, as does Star Convoy. It’s something they’ll do for the 35th but can obviously be brought over to the west as well.

I think they will bring it over as part of the 35th line in the west. I think Hasbro would bring it over since Armada was a mainline series in America and people remember it fondly.

If it gets a release it will most likely just be Takara stock available through Hasbro Pulse, just like MP-44 and 45.
