combiner wars, titans return, power of the primes and wfc siege all bear the generations branding, as does studio series, so technically the g in chug is perfectly serviceable in including those lines

thats exactly why i usually get his stuff

When people say CHUG I shrug. Since when is a generations potp deluxe Dinobot "in scale?" Or a Leaderclass Generations seeker? My classics Trailcutter and Hoist aren't either... My Generations Arcee is a pipsqueak compared to other figures. It all fairly well works together and some figures more than others.
My legends figures with Leader Skyfire look awesome. While he in general looks good enough with deluxe figures.
I must say that within this new WFC Siege line everything scales ok. But when comparing the rest it is mix and match. Not everything scales well. And some more so than others. So what people say about "CHUG" I think they are looking mainly at deluxes and voyagers. Where they work well enough together. But I would not say there is a CHUG scale at all.

    Nice.

    My 2c:
    Favourites:

    Omega Supreme:
    Awesome.
Big, articulated, and lot of play features in alt mode.
The 'troop' carrier feature of the tank was a pleasant surprise.
I like how the rocket doesn't seem have to break up to convert into the robot arms.
Countdown looks good, although I wish the robot mode had elbows...

My only real problem with this, is my budget, and space. (Where do I put another Titan?)

*Sigh* I really though that this round's titan would be an easy pass, as I was always lukewarm on Omega Supreme, both as a toy and a character.
    Dammit Hasbro.

    Jetfire:
Honestly, I've never really had much affinity the G1 animated 'Skyfire' version of Jetfire. I always thought that both the jet and robot modes were boxy and awkward. Especially compared to the original G1 toy.
Even the third party offerings didn't much to change that impression, although a couple were rather impressive. (Phoenix is actually impressive - but cost! I got Skycrusher, for its rather different take on the design)
I also never expected Hasbro to to a 'toon accurate version of Jetfire.

This figure actually takes the G1 design, stramlines and actually makes it look airworthy.
In addition, it has has added features, like Titan/Prime Master compatibility (unexpected), a switching faction symbol, and 'troop transport'.
The transformation looks like it will be interesting, too.
I also like how the additional armour and weapons can be stored in either mode. And that the armour can be used to homage the original G1 toy robot mode mode.
I hopesemi-articulated fingers with deploable 5mm post hand design gets used in other figures in the future.

Looks like, budget permitting, I may end up with a small Jetfire squadron.
(Classics,T30, Sky Crusher, and now this. That Cyvervirse Armor Up Jetfire looks interesting... I am a weak person...)

    Springer:

I have mixed feelings about this one.
It's a nice update to the original G1 figure, and a food representation of the G1 cartoon design.
I like the helicopter blades can apparently split to give two swords, and all the accessories can combine to form a BFG for the car alt.
The alt modes actually look pretty decent, although I wish that the the designers could had the front wheels fold in, and pushed forward the winglets in in helicopter mode to distinguish it further from the car alt.
The thing is, I would probably like it more, if it weren't T30 Springer. I just like the alt modes on that better.
This is still good, and a definite pickup.

    Smashdown:
A robot Minotaur that transforms into a crimson hammer.
    Cool.
    Not much more to say.
The bot mode has an impressive intimidating look, even for that size, and hammer looks hefty.
The weapon mode would have looked a bit better with a longer handle, though.
    A definite one to get.

    Again, my :2c:

Wow, that retracting 5mm post in the hands is really nifty! That is a good step forward in Transformer design.

I dunno about the hand gimmick on Jetfire. It's a clever engineering trick, but I think it would be better off on a manual switch than an automatic mechanism. The open hole just looks weird if you want to pose the hand in a fist without holding a weapon.

Literally all of this will be mine.

No figure looks bad by any stretch of the word, Hasbro really have outdone themselves!

Has anybody noticed how Thundercracker has a slightly different face compared to Starscream?

I cannot believe how out-of-the-park Hasbro is killing it with this line. It’s an unbelievable turn-around IMO. My only issue is the size reduction, but other than that, I’m really impressed with all of this stuff.

I was thinking the same thing! I also might swap their Nullrays/guns for the ones that belong to Classics Seekers depending on the colors.

Wow....very very nice, Although I wish a couple of other characters that haven't been given new figures had made the cut first, these offerings are spectacular. And while I vastly preferred the "Jetfire" design to that of the animated G1"Skyfire" one, this figure really gives me a new appreciation for the latter. And that Omega Supreme.......magnificent.

Hopefully, this time next year......Scorponok will be revealed.

That smirk was too much for me, the only disappointment of the day. I hope Red Wing is using Starscream's head. Everything else is awesome.

I would guess two faces. And we'll get a couple releases of each and then we'll have a thriving headswap black market

I have to say, Hasbro brought the big guns this year. Not just Transformers: Star Wars, Marvel and Power Rangers all had an impressive showing IMO. I can be wrong, especially in terms of Star Wars since I have no idea what’s going on there, but the sheer amount of stuff they had to reveal was impressive. Power Rangers was fantastic stuff and Marvel had a huge selection of great sculpts and characters. I don’t collect Marvel either but I at least recognize the characters when I see them. And I know some of these were desired by many.

But back on topic: Transformers. The only thing that was a bit lame was revealing the exciting stuff a week beforehand online. There were little to no surprises. Yeah, there was Ectotron which I really don’t care about, plus a few new repaints for the anniversary and stuff, but as far as Siege goes - they really shouldn’t have unveiled figures like Impactor or Jetfire on a website. And the few actually new showings were ruined by leaks.

Other than that though... damn Hasbro. That’s some seriously awesome stuff you're doing. I was already in love with Siege just because of the increase in build quality and articulation, but this is great. Springer is really cool, Impactor is growing on me and that Jetfire... no, it's Skyfire. This is the Skyfire a lot of people were waiting for. And he's glorious. Seeing him at first just made me think "It's a big figure, don’t need it" but seeing him on display and witnessing some of the clever engineering through the video posted in this thread, well, I want one now. I love the spring loaded doors for the head storage in vehicle mode, the rotating chest panel with sculpted faction symbols and the ports in the hands that rotate away when you open the fists. Wow.

All that instantly sold me on this guy. He's thankfully not Titan sized, these figures are just too big for me, but this is the exact sweet spot I'm willing to pay a bigger sum for. An all around fantastic looking figure, with fun gimmick that don’t compromise the figures look at all (the armor is cool and the little handles for figures to hold on to are adorable) plus a proper size and mass.

A good year to be a Transformers fan and a great year for Hasbro to show off what they can do. I will definitely pre-order my Jet, no, Skyfire once my retailer has him up. And I haven't even talked about Springer yet - he’s pretty great looking too, I'll be getting one for sure. Plus more animal weapon friends! I love these, they’re awesome. I hope they make even more.

Oh I like that smirk. Another aspect that puts TC over SS. A pity the alt-mode doesnt work as nicely as Screamer.
