MP44 at Toyfair is probably the same beat up prototype last seen at wonderfest 2018 that looked bad in strange poses and blasted in funky lighting. TT really needs a better strategy rolling out these new MPs.

 

They are very much stuck in old world reveal mode in the post Hasui era. I like the bots more, but they need to show these things off better and more on social media platforms. Chime in with tidbits that will satisfy fans who are hungry for information.

 

He designed MPM-3. He had nothing to do with Hot Rod though, that was a different designer altogether. Free-lance designer Yuki Ohshima did the sketches for Hot Rod’s vehicle mode.

Him being at the show doesn’t necessarily mean he designed those MPs, he’s probably still on the MPM line.

Please God, I hope so. I keep getting temptations to get FT Sovereign, but just know that the second I do Takara will announce MP Galvatron.

 

Can't wait to pose him straight against MP-36.....recreating the dam scene....yes!!!

 

He is guaranteed. All the MP & MPM leader counterparts are now done apart from him and Dezsaurus.
I'm confident we will hear more towards the end of the year.

 

I would gladly try to get a 3rd party Galvatron but I don’t know which one is the best. And if one is announced and made of the same quality as MP36 then I am definitely getting one. He is my favorite Decepticon.

seeing MP44 now in motion really make him look much much better
the backpack actually has good flow with the core body with the aid of the small curve piece on back of waist.

Thx for watching. What faults put you off?

 

In all honesty I'm probably doing the figure a disservice when labeling my concerns as 'faults'. However, I really dont like the whole transformation, it just looks like one of those where one wrong move and its game over. The lack of thigh rotation and ab crunch is annoying on a premium figure in this day and age. The Head sculpt is just horrible. Also I like a trailer with my Prime.

Those problems aside, it is a nice looking figure. I'm just not sure I could justify the £100+ to spend on it, having already pre-ordered MP44

 

i went with mp44 but also having both MS01 and TE01 right now. I agree that the transformation while in heart is something to prove that they try but in no way is a genius one , aside from the leg , that's neat stuff. and about the head , helmet sculpt is kinda bubbly but paint the face to exact color and it almost save the figure. for now he works on my shelf. now we wait for 44
