Just like the title says, I was just wondering when the movie team will be at Toy Fair to make their announcements? Is it later on today, or will it be tomorrow? Just wondering if anyone knew.
We have some movie news from Toy Fair according to the front page: - He discussed the critical and commercial success of Transformers Bumblebee. - Next Transformers Live Action movies from the Transformers Universe is in production at Paramount Pictures. - However, no new Transformers movies were highlighted on the current plan until 2021. - Toy production to future movies will begin 18 to 30 months prior to the movie’s release. Looks like the next one is under development already and I'm sure artists have started to create concepts for the film, especially since Hasbro stated they want to start developing the toys around 2 years before the release of the film.
Ah ok I just saw it, thanks though. I’m pretty disappointed they haven’t cleared up the whole reboot/prequel thing too(The Viacom CEO says one thing, Lorenzo says the other, the movie blatantly contradicts everything, and etc.). I’m still hoping we hear something about it tomorrow, but I’m not sure whether they’ll still be talking about it or not.
I don't think we will hear much. We probably won't hear anything until they have something solid to announce like a small synopsis and a release date.
They don’t host specific panels at NYTF. They just have private show rooms to display the toys, so the most you’ll get out of NYTF is upcoming toy releases and because we don’t have a TF film coming out this year, there’s nothing really to be hyped about.
There's still a shit ton of Bee characters we haven't seen, altho i'm not hopeful for this one. Maybe later this year.

I think the most obvious question among the fandom will be the whole is Bumblebee a reboot or prequel question. To follow up, I'd love to know the direction of the character designs. For example, will we see more characters that are accurate to the source material like in Bumblebee? Are we going to see more established characters, new characters like Shatter and Dropkick, or a mix of both? And my last question: will the next film be a solo film or an ensemble Transformers film?
