Rooster Teeth is garbage and the people that made the Machinima show worse than they had to be are all coming back.

I fail to see how anyone can look at this news as positive.

Yeah I think this is a bad choice too. It’s almost if Hasbro forgot that shows sell toys.

 

Dude when the bonus features for volume 1 start with those 2 hacks in front of a camera saying “before we started writing RWBY Monty gave us a list of anime’s to watch”

That’s when you shoulda known what we all getting ourselves into. Also the blatent ripoff of the villain from Clockwork orange. They got rid of him almost as if they said “oh shit we totally stole this designs and this is getting really popular!”

 

Super happy about this BUT .......2020 ? So what toys are going to appeare in this hasbro? I only buy the toys that appear in the cartoon .

 

Well the reason for why Prime had less to work with was because they blew the budget. The studio got way too ambitious. Even still there's the saying "less is more" and it can work in Prime's favor as you have a more central group to focus on. I'd love for a show with a large cast again like G1 but fact is it's easier for Hasbro to minimize shows to 10-15 robots than one with 30+ characters.

But anyways, I'm just saying as far as general reception goes if a group of non-fans watched one episode from both shows they'd say Prime was the better one. Whether its from a critical stance or just saying it cus it looks expensive i cant say

This better not be Prime wars 2.0 because it sounds like it’s heading in that direction and the last thing we need is something like that on Netflix for the public to see and then judge.

Oh just you wait. RT will have their top hipsters writing it and if you didn’t like the voice work for Cyberverse or Prime wars well just you wait. The voices will be anyone and everyone at RT. From hot rod being played by Michael Jones screaming into a pop filter, to Barbra just reading from a script as Arcee to a lonely developer just casually walking by and getting pulled into the sound booth.

 

Just because YOU don't like something, doesn't make it garbage. Plenty of people here are excited because they are fans of RT. If you think its gonna be that bad, no one's forcing you to watch it.

 

Plenty of people have been fans along time but it doesn’t mean they’re what they used to be. l saw the first episode of RVB when it came out and was a huge fan for along time but past 5 years it’s not been anything really great.

I think it was lazerteam that I finally felt betrayed. Mostly because I backed it and when it came out I said “where did my money go? Was it michaels Gardner that he brags about coz it wasn’t the budget?!”

 

Considering the LACK of RT voice actors in gen:LOCK, and that this is a Netlfix thing and not an original production, I'm betting they'll be bringing in outside talent.

Having said that, I wouldn't mind Gray Haddock voicing a decepticon. His performance of Locus is really good IMO.

But I'm extremely biased. I discovered RT when I was going through a divorce. I was depressed and lonely, they made me laugh and feel good. And I had YEARS worth of content to watch.

I\'m a big fan of Rooster Teeth. I\'m also a big fan of Transformers. I liked the Prime Wars trilogy for what it was worth. *shrug*

If you don\'t like Rooster Teeth, you don\'t have to. Watch the trailer when it comes out and decide then whether you want to watch the show or not.

Just don\'t count your chickens before they hatch. I, myself, have noticed a downhill quality in Rooster Teeth\'s content for the past few years, but I also understand that they are people. They make mistakes. They just started a freaking Mecha series which is actually pretty good with some pretty big name actors and actresses voicing the lead characters in the show. All I\'m saying is don\'t judge the quality until you see the content. You never know what could come out of it.

And I can understand that. I was a fan since 2003 when my best friend showed me the first episode and I was until around season 11 and I just ended up hating it. I literally watched it and said “this is not good. The comedy is being forced. It doesn’t feel like it’s written by Bernie and Matt” and it wasn’t and I could tell. Eventually I just stopped because I couldn’t enjoy anything they were doing.

I finally came to the conclusion this is not my comedy. I’ve outgrown them. Found Funhaus and yeah, they’re my humor. I’m the same age as those guys and I can get their humor. A lot more than seeing people in their late 40s now trying to act like millennial hipsters to continue to fit in like a lot of the founders are.

I get if you choose to be bias and like their stuff because you feel like you have to because it’s got the Chicken teeth logo but I’m not. If I don’t like something I’m not going to force myself to laugh out of loyalty.

 

Okay, I’m cautiously optimistic.

This is the type of Transformers show we’ve been hoping for years now.

This can either be great, or Godzilla anime bad.

I’m hoping for the former.
