It actually looks pretty good. You can tell it was designed by the Transformers team, usually the crossover toys are designed by non-TF designers and it shows.

Dude, I think I need this. I’ve always wanted a Ghostbusters Transformer, ever since Dr. Smoov put the idea in my head.

 

It's a Ghostbusters figure, it'd bloody BETTER come with a huge backpack, or we riot.  

 

This is actually kind of awesome. It'd be cool if they did other movies too, like Back to the Future, Fast and the Furious, Gone in Sixty Seconds, Smokey and the Bandit, etc. I'd be all over that.

 

I didn't even know Hasbro had a Ghostbuster license. I thought Mattel had it.

 

Wow, this is really shocking... and I definitely mean that in a good way. I'm not a Ghostbusters fan myself, but like others said, the possibilities are endless.

I don't expect anyone to back me on this, but for a while I thought it would be sick to have a Transformers and Fast & Furious crossover. I do not expect that to happen here, but I would die if I saw that. I totally expect things like KITT, the DeLorean, like somebody above me mentioned, things like that.

 

Upon further consideration, while it\'s cool that this exists and I\'ll almost certainly get one, it isn\'t really a good look for the long-term health of either franchise.

There\'s nothing new happening in TFs right now - Generations is just giving us 84-86 with more articulation, Cyberverse is such a total G1 rehash that we were excited to see characters from ten years ago like Lugnut or twenty years ago like Cheetor instead of just MOAR G1, and this is literally \"we took two popular things from the 80s and made a toy.\" It\'s the plastic equivalent of those wack-ass t-shirts that are like, He-Man driving the General Lee or whatever.

The Ghostbusters franchise is even more stuck in the past - they did a reboot that wasn\'t that bad, tbqh but was screamed into oblivion by internet dumbasses so now it\'s back to All Eighty Four All The Time.

Do something different, ffs. BotBots is just \"Shopkins but TF\" and this video game that\'s allegedly coming is gonna be \"PUBG/Fortnite but TF\"... we aren\'t getting anything as genuinely original as Beast Wars anytime soon, I don\'t think.

Like I said, it\'s cool and I\'m gonna buy it in tribute to the eight year old me who wished it was real way back when, but... that\'s the boldest, wildest, idea you can come up with?
