Huh, I didn't look at this 20% off coupon for selected sellers because I doubted that any Transformer-related stores would be on the list. It's been going on since the 11th and no-one's posted this because again, it's presumably Australians only - btw do you guys mind me posting non-American sales here? Curious if I should be here at all lol. For people buying from the official Transformers store on eBay they're one of the selected stores for 20% off. Coupon code: PORCH.

Non-Australians give this a try anyway (don't commit to buy though!), since there might be an international discount as it is the official Hasbro store for Transformers, however I'm uncertain if it does apply and I'm likely wrong.

EDIT: Then again, their store has limited selection.

 

So we are now in the 2nd half of the second month of the year and STILL no Ebay flash sale for USA customers. Man, I wish we had an Ebay employee on these threads.

@ChromeMagnus, I am with you, why not save some money on things we are going to buy anyway. As I said before the days of monthly flash sales are gone (come on Ebay, have a sale this week, so I can sound like a pessimist ass), I am guessing the monthly flash sale will become the quarterly 10% of sale, and if we are lucky, we will get a 15% of in December. If what I am saying is what is actually going to happen, just max out on when there is a sale and have several accounts.

 

If not 15% or more, I have no need to buy on eBay then. I passed on 8% eBay bucks and with combined discount with one seller and still didn't seem like much of a deal. 20% would be awesome or a 10% plus 8% eBay bucks would work too. Fingers crossed...

 

Agreed. Some may argue 10% is better than nothing but to be honest 10% barely puts a scratch on prices.

Yup I agree, I'd take an 8% ebay bucks in a heart beat.

 

Yes, if flash sales are dead than so is my interest in eBay. Reputable sellers already sell pretty close to or at NA retail, so without the sale you’re only saving on shipping, not worth the hassle and wait IMO. The eBay bucks are far too restrictive to be attractive to me. I’ve been worried ever since they introduced the bucks that flash sales would end and it appears to have finally happened.

 

They aren't dead. Ebay is just dragging their feet with them.

 

I’ll gladly pay 8-10% less than 8-10% more. But, hey, do what you want with your money.

 

That’s as good as dead in my book. If they’re not roughly predictable I can’t plan purchases, and I either pay too much or miss opportunities. Given that the percentage discount keeps getting smaller to boot, then what good are they?
