I weighed him and it looks like he's right about 5 1/2 pounds. My wife feigned being impressed as she always does.

 

Got Catapult in today and he feels very nice in hand, much less loosely than Fireflight. Except the thumbs...my god, they fly across the room if you even look at them. Never had a thumb come off once on the first two. Gonna drizzle a little future in there and hope it helps.

 

Great, so TFSource has theirs in stock tonight. Hopefully TCP gets theirs in tomorrow.

I feel like my preorder experience with Silver Arrow is like I'm in that freeway scene from Office Space.

 

Silverbolt is the only one who didn’t at least lose one thumb the first day out of the box.... So far I haven’t needed to future them. It seemed like they just came loosely fitted. Putting them in with a good push once seemed to do it for mine...

TFS has Silver Arrow in now. And didn't BBTS already have a couple in? So that just leaves TCP, right? I'd have to imagine they'd have it soon, too.

 

I hope it does arrive tomorrow or even Friday but I haven't heard that it's that close to arriving at the retailer yet. Tracking on ocean freight orders seems to be less specific than the usual air freight packages. It could just show up tomorrow and hopefully it does but I'm not counting on it.

 

Yeah, I actually messaged TCP earlier on Monday, the day after they said it might come in, and they said "maybe this week." Don't know what's going on but it's pretty evident that whatever their shipping method was the tracking is not super specific. I was kind of hoping that it would have made it by now.

I messaged them this morning. TCP replied with, "Should be late this week or next week"

 

So glad I didn't wait for tcp.

 

I just splurged on 4 of these guys. Silverbolt and then Bruticus are next.

Oh man, that looks awesome. I might have to paint my Fireflight's chest and waist pieces with the blue and yellow myself (though I'd probably go for a slightly deeper blue). THAT is exactly the sort of look that I dig. It really brings it to life and spices up the chest area. Maybe I could even use a translucent blue so you can still see the details underneath. Hmm, ideas, ideas.
The flat red on Slingshot is nice too.

 

Now Menasor is well on his way we really need that Defensor. Then Prime and Megatron will really look like minibots surrounded by the big boys.

 

Nice! If Defensor happens, will you give Predaking the boot to make the shelf just S1 & S2 characters?

Depends on cost. The Bruticus chestplate was eye wateringly expensive via Shapeways. When this is done I'll up it to see how viable. I Might do a handful of prints myself though with this one.
