    I love the Shinden too.
Pity the robots aren't that great imo.

This is a great toy from a great movie.
    I like it a lot.

I think this line should be Neish characters in a studio series scale.

After the Bumblebee movie, this also equates to "We've re-learned Earth's languages through the Decepticon networking infrastructure" :D

This guy has a real ABC Warriors vibe, like something Kevin O’Neill would have drawn in the 80s. Love it

I understand what was meant by "too many human features" mentioned above. I do appreciate it for this figure (reminds me of that American WW2 aeroplane we got, with the goggles), but I agree that the level of anthropomorphic representation here is more than G1. Usually, in G1, there would be a stylised, robotic feel, with perhaps one, or two "human" features added.

    Anyway, I can't unsee these:

Just because the elements have been there from the start doesn't mean you have to like them. I dislike most robot designs that are too human in any medium. I don't mind when they draw inspiration from human culture, but things like Bulldogs face bug me. For me, the first two movies incorporated human-like features without being to obvious and I think it was nicely balanced.

It's relevant if you don't mind it in the other mediums but then only find reason to in one in particular. Bulldog is barely any different to me than examples of G1 characters with metal facial hair and accessories. It'd be one thing if it was disliking the trend across the board, but I find it pretty illogical to find it fine in so many other regards but not this one when others have done it just as much.

Maybe I wasn't clear enough, but I don't like the humanoid look for any of the transformers. Unless you were just speaking generally.

I was speaking in regard to my position as argued to Mindvvipe, who held the idea of "I am fine with it in other places but not here"
As I said, hating it universally is one thing, and hey, you have other head options if you like the design otherwise. But to say it's fine in the other mediums but not in this one particular one just doesn't work to me as an argument due to it being an element from basically the infancy of this franchise's design teams.

Well, I can't believe it, but I just preordered Bulldog. That ShowZ price was too reasonable to resist. I just never thought that my first ever 3P figure would end up being Bayformers. I never thought I'd be collecting Bayformers period. All of this, thanks to a couple 5 dollar TLK deluxes at Ollies.
